The new song is nothing new for them but it’s still a good song with a killer chorus/solo and awesome production.
After another “heavier” album from them I was hoping we get something more pop-punkish again. Outside of like 2 or 3 songs I don’t revisit 13 Voices at all.
This. I would hate to hear them regress back to a poppier punk sound. They did that in Underclass and it was mostly awful in my opinion.
Song is pretty run of the mill Sum 41 but still pretty good. I'll definitely catch them on tour and preorder this record. Also, I still love 13 Voices. It's not perfect but it's in my top 3 for their discography.
Fair enough! I personally can't get into All Killer or Underclass these days but Infected, Chuck, Screaming Bloody Murder, and 13 Voices? Love those 4 records.
Screaming Bloody Murder grew on me over the years. Chuck will always be my favorite. Underclass Hero is a fun album with sweet guitar tones. 13 Voices still holds up for me and I love their metal influenced stuff. No need to talk of their earlier albums. They rule.
The solo's cool, but the song as a whole doesn't do much for me on first listen. Not bad or anything, just didn't really stand out. Hoping it will grow on me a bit.
I’ve mentioned it a million times on this site but I’ll say it again: Screaming Bloody Murder is underrated as hell. It has a few missteps like the two songs Derek recorded independently that don’t go with the record whatsoever but overall? It’s a really great record. The hate it got was never justified in my eyes.
I know Brownsound loves that album and really wished he was apart of writing it. I thought that was cool of him to say.
Absolutely. I remember seeing this in a video interview. Very cool of him indeed. He seems like a legitimately sweet humble dude and I’m so glad he’s sticking around.
I actually went back to Screaming Bloody Murder today and of course agree, great album which is underrated
Lmao people in this thread are saying POSITIVE things about Screaming Bloody Murder? It’s so much better than 13 Voices, which made me confused as to why people acted like that album was a “return to form”. I’ll take SBM over most of their discog, personally.
