Spent by far the most I've ever spent on a Sum 41 ticket but it's worth it if this is really the last time
I have no doubt they will be back for festivals and such in a few years. I highly doubt this will be the last we hear of them. Dyreck will probably release a solo album and take some time off before restarting the Sum 41 gears again.
yeah I was going to do that. ironically though, I will already be in Milwaukee that exact day for another show to see Saetia lol.
They are a little bit older than other bands who have done this (I think), and I wish them all the best if they actually retire and find fulfilling ways to spend the rest of their days. but I'd put good money on some form of a return before 2030.
The urge to return (and likely payday) will always be there, but I'm guessing this farewell has a lot to do with Deryck's health
They'll be back when he decides he wants to do it again. He doesn't need the money, especially after selling his publishing.
yah im pretty sure they'll be a show at concord or something, would be siiick! I've seen them twice in the last couple years but would love to hear the final tour set that will most likely include some gnarly deepcuts!
Copped tickets for Portland. Was bummed to see floor completely unavailable without a bundle only for two to go up for resale at a fair price right after checking out with my seated tickets. But honestly I’m excited to be going at all. Said it before but Sum was my first show ever, to see their last tour will mean a lot
Been listening to the new song for past two days nonstop. Absolutely my favorite song since at least like UH era. It sounds very Fat Wreck,Strung Out alike specifically.Great riffs, fast drums and Deryck sounds much better than on Landmines and Rise Up.Give me more of songs like this.
Yeah I can’t get enough of these either. Really excited to hear more and see them on the farewell tour.
