Yeah not playing Fake My Own Death is kinda a bummer considering it was a comeback single of some sort for them. Goddamn I’m Dead Again definitely deserves a place too, it's such a sick song
Just got back from the tour. Man, if that was really it, I'm gonna miss these guys so much, but it was a hell of a way to go out. Probably the best out of all the times I've seen them - setlist is great and Deryck sounds probably the best he ever has
Joey Valence and Brae opens this leg. Had no idea who they were, but it's quite honestly the most I've enjoyed an unknown opener in many years. Crowd loved them. I'm kind of at that age where I'm just perpetually waiting for the bands I came to see and rarely find much to enjoy about openers I don't know, but they were a ton of fun.
Wow! So I went to the show in Brooklyn a few days ago..... wow. That was sooooooo much fun. A few days have past and it's still resonating big time with me. It was the perfect show Opener was comically stupid. Beastie boys/lmfao hybrid. Short and sweet though. Interrupters should be the opener fot every show for the rest of life. They're perfect live. Their sound is infectious so non-fans can't help but skank. Shocked "in the mirror" got cut. Figured that was a big single of theirs. And Sum 41.... what can you say! It just dawned on me that this was the FIRST TIME IVE EVER SEEN THEM HEADLINE EVER. Seen them at warped, boozle, and as an opener never headline. The set was pure perfection. All the hits plus a smattering of the best songs off the new album but a few hidden gems along the way. They did a double encore with so long farewell which was a nice touch. They played SUMMER! yesssss. No hyperbole. This is definitely in my top 20 best shows I've ever been to lost. Great stuff.
The songs I initially wasn't keen on growing on me wasn't enough, the whole thing is now one of my favorite albums of the year. Guess I needed to be able to blast this on a sunny hot day. Such a high note to go out on
