ive never really liked it as much apart from the singles i guess. But just because its down there doesn’t necessarily mean its bad.
Oooh, I love this game. All Killer Half Hour Heaven x Hell Chuck Underclass Screaming DTLI Order 13 Voices
Chuck Does This Look Infected? Screaming Bloody Murder All Killer, No Filler 13 Voices Heaven & Hell Order In Decline Half Hour Of Power Underclass Hero
This new Sum 41 album is definitely going to be in my top albums of the year. I just have to be careful not to over play it :)
100% agree. I don't quite get how this song isn't being mentioned as much, but its been on repeat for me since Friday. I would absolutely love it if it became a huge hit for them. Yes, it sounds like a better version of MGK's "Bloody Valentine," but thats a damn good song, and having Deryck's voice just improves upon it that much more. Either way, really enjoying this album (particularly Heaven) and am just over the moon that they are still producing material of this caliber in 2024.
I still can’t say I love this album (mostly because Hell has very little for me) but I really love I Can’t Wait. I’ve been playing Tony Hawk 4 lately and that and Future Primitive are definitely getting added to the playlist.
Dopamine is quite catchy but they certainly made the right choice with Landmines as the single to lead off Heaven.
Infected Chuck All Killer Half Hour I think with time this will pass up Half Hour. It probably already has. I know people kinda clown on that one, but I just love the vibe so much. It’s so authentic. The stakes feel so low. All the charm of four young friends making an album that feels like it’s really just for them and no one else, like an inside joke. So much that the fact of there even being a single at all (let alone a fucking good one) feels like a huge flex lol. I looked up to a lot of bands in my adolescence but that record made Sum 41 feel like they were my peers. I wanted to be friends with them so bad
As much as i enjoy their heavier side, it’s just been awesome to have something like heaven from these guys again. I have no issue listening to that side from start to finish.
As a kid I loved watching the DVD where they'd shoot people with super soakers and steal (?) pizza . They were goobers.
I probably still have that original dvd somewhere. I remember ordering it at my local music store and would watch it every day after school. Introduction To Destruction and Urethra Chronicles 2 were huge part of my childhood
Well said. These guys are local to me so I knew them well before anything was ever sent to radio/tv (and I was supposed to be at the video shoot for it but fell ill), and Half Hour holds a very special place in my heart. Watching this little local band blow up was one of the coolest things ever
