Wait do you mean the one they start playing around at 2:50 here? If so, I'd be over the moon. I always thought this version was superior to the original due to how hard that part goes.
Just having heard previews, pretty sure I recognize the chord progression in How The End Begins from one of the 13 Voices studio teasers back in the day. Only able to listen to the full thing tomorrow, but I wonder if these were reworked as well https://www.youtube.com/shorts/OFGYImgv-4Q https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pBOQvPaUL0U https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HWux4lWq6HM
God this album rules, especially the heaven side. Got another full listen through during a car ride and was just smiling the whole time. Happy to see positive reviews so far.
always find myself singing "it's times like this, my time's run out" (from All Shes Got) over the bridge of I Can't Wait everytime I get to it
Oh no. I didn’t realize I was adding to an ongoing bit. I could listen, but I’m just chillin til tomorrow now.
I haven't heard it yet either because I'm dead inside and don't have enough joy to want to seek out an album leak.
A had the same reaction at first. A lot of MGK songs kinda jack the "Mr. Brightside" vocal cadence, and so does "Dopamine" to an extent, so that definitely caught my attention. I think "Time Won't Wait" also has a kinda Travis Barker-produced kinda vibe to it too, but I don't care to pin it down to a specific song. Anyways album slaps, hopefully they actually play some of these songs on the tour instead of sticking strictly to the hits.
So happy this is finally out so I can listen to it in lossless. ive had it for like 2 weeks since it leaked in non lossless
Also really could do without the paint it black cover. I would much rather have a actual new song in its place
I’m not gonna pretend the Hell side is all hits or anything, but it at least all sounds very much like Sum 41, even if it’s not a side of them I necessarily always vibe with. The Heaven side is definitely has a couple egregiously MGK/Travis Barker camp sounding tracks that are hard for me to take seriously or have fun with - Dopamine and Time Won’t Wait in particular (Not Quite Myself narrowly avoids this camp with a little extra pep in its riffs). They’re just kinda… there. The tracks that hit really hit though. All in all this seems like a fun way for them to go out despite it not having much of a sense of finality. All the more excited to see them in the fall now
Wonder if they will add more songs to the set that this is finally out. landmines is the only song they’ve been playing every night. Waiting on a twist of fate has been played 12 times rise up has only been played 5 times
