Damn, it makes me so happy that they are gonna go out on what seems like a banger of an album. I loved Landmines but THIS is soooo up my alley it’s unreal. Like idk what more I could ask of from this band.
You're right. They're entirely predictable at this point, it's either a guitar solo or a slowed piano moment with soft vocals. It's classic Sum and I love it, but it's a lot of retreading.
I love how it made me think it was going to be poppy then those heavy guitar chords and riffs and the shouted vocals hit. Can't even tell which side of the album it belongs to. It just feels like classic Sum to my ears and, even though it does sound formulaic, I couldn't be happier that they seem to go out on a high note.
i preordered this variant last night, excited to spin it! Heaven :x: Hell Red & Blue Cornetto Double Vinyl LP – Rise Records
Quite like these guys but all 3 of the latest singles have almost identical chord progressions in their choruses, so none of them are hitting next level for me.

As someone who has never seen them, I’m a big fan of that set. Including quite a bit of Chuck/Underclass Hero is exactly what I was hoping for. I was on the fence but I think I’m definitely hitting this up.
Definitely go if you can. Most people expect them to probably resurface again someday, but you never really know with some bands, so don’t miss out on what could be your last chance
Interesting that they brought back so many of the ballad/slower songs. I imagine they'll add more from the new album once it's out though
I hope they keep Best Of Me the whole tour. Always loved that song. Otherwise pretty decent list overall. Surprised there isnt anything from Order in Decline.
Oh man, So Long Goodbye?!?!?! According to setlist.fm, they also played a cover of Another Brick in the Wall Want to go to this show, as I've never seen Sum 41 and that setlist is really great - but it's at a venue I refuse to go to. I checked for tickets yesterday, and granted the show isn't for another six months, but it is, uhhhh, not selling well.
