Sum 41 have announced they are disbanding.

Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments of our lives. We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in every way. It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear this from us first.

Sum 41 will be disbanding. We will still be finishing all of our current upcoming tour dates this year, and we're looking forward to releasing our final album "Heaven:×: Hell," along with a final worldwide headlining tour to celebrate. Details will be announced as soon as we have them.

For now, we look forward to seeing all of you skumfuks on the road and are excited for what the future will bring for each of us.

Thank you for the last 27 years of Sum 41.

Bummer news, was really hoping we'd get a few more years from them (with more albums on top of that).

Makes sense since Deryck did just have a second kid back in March so he probably just wants to focus on his family instead of being constantly being on the road. Maybe few years from now (when the kids are more grown up) he'll bring the Sums back for a few more extra years.

That being said, bummed I never got a chance to see them live.

    Better than you, sorry

This is a band that gave their all. I’m thankful they were around so long. I’m happy brown sound returned and they just had 3 guitarists. They’re a class group. Thanks for your service

I'll never forget man maybe back in 2015 they announced a one-off show at Chain Reaction. Somehow I scored tickets for my friends and myself. Absolute mayhem, sweatiest I've ever left that venue and that's saying something.
