you and i must have completely opposite tastes if this is one of the worst albums you've listened to this year. it's probably one of my favorites.

While the album may not be one of the best Sum 41 albums and may have disappointed on that front, overall I wouldn't say it's a bad album. Its a pretty good release if we are ranking albums released this year.

I've listened to over 120 albums this year and yeah I'd say this is probably somewhere in the bottom 10. I really liked the new blink-182 album, so I was hoping Sum 41 would make a similarly good comeback with this album, but it's their weakest effort yet unfortunately imo.

Damn, that's a lot of albums lol. You have my respect. I may have listened to like, 15? Makes my AOTY choice a lot easier :-)

Yeah, sadly there is nothing I enjoy on this album. Their first 4 albums are still great, but SBM and this album are just not for me.

This is definitely the worst Sum 41 album I think. Was really excited for it too

Listening to 13 now and I love it. It didn't beat chuck but overall, it's a really solid record in my opinion. I don't get the hate for it?

I will have to give this album another shot. I def didnt like it as much as i was hoping i would. The mix/production doesn't sit well with me. Am i the only one that feels this way? I should also mention that I now love SBM so much that its up there for me with Chuck as some of their best work.

Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan.. probably two songs that I really love but the rest is meh, even gave it another chance a few months later and it was a bit better than I remembered, but still my least favorite release Definitely made me appreciate SBM more, even though I really liked 80% of that album anyways

Sum 41 is one of my all time favorite bands but I don't think I've gone back to this since maybe a few weeks after it came out. I really hope they regain the magic on the next one. Still bought tickets for the tour though, will never miss them live

I still dig the album, the production isn't the best, but it was a hell of a comeback album

Probably still one of my most listened to albums overall lately. I love listening to it all the way through. Favorite are fake my own death, breaking the chain, and twisted by design.

Still their best since Chuck. Goddamn I'm Dead Again is still one of my favorite Sum songs ever.

Still don't know how I feel about this album. I agree the production isn't the best. Then again, I felt the same about SBM and UH. I loved the raw production of Chuck and always find myself going back to that album more than anything.

I'm more interested in the next album since Brown Sound will be a part of the entire writing process instead of just adding in guitar licks here and there. But yes, God Damn I'm Dead Again is their best song in a long long time. I was really hoping the album would have been more along the lines of that.

  18. Yep pretty sure the next one could be great. Davey basically wrote the entire album on his own.

  19. And I think they should go back to a producer that suits them well.

Screaming Bloody Murder needs to be pressed on vinyl. Their second best album behind Chuck imo.

I enjoyed the album for what it was I think it has some really strong songs on but there were a few duds for me. Was a strong comeback I thought.

the 2 duds are the songs deryck financed himself because the label didn't want them.

Yeah those 2 def kind of stick out like a sore thumb but they are still ok tracks. Doesn't really bring down the record for me.
