Yeeeee. If all was right in the world, all 3 would be loved by everyone. It's my campaign if I ever run for office.
You think you aren't big but if For Whom the Bell Tolls, Master of Puppets, Sad But True or any of their billion other badass songs come on you'd bob your head ☺
Oh yes. They were the best hands down. Avril, Snoop and Limp Bizkit were awful. Staind and Korn were OK for what they did.
I know this is a Sum 41 thread on a website that started as a Blink fansite but I honestly cannot even fathom how anybody could like Blink or Sum 41 more than Green Day, though I'm a massive, massive fan of all three bands. I'd generally rank them Green Day Blink Sum 41 But I actually think Sum might have a more consistent discography than Blink. While I'm on controversial opinions, my top three Sum 41 albums are Chuck, Underclass Hero, SBM
Agree with everything here except that Sum's discography is more consistent than Blink's. Those are probably also my top three Sum albums, though in a different order.
I like both blink-182 and Sum 41 more than Green Day. Green Day's songs all kind of blend together to me after a while. Very repetitive in style.
My top 10 Sum songs: Mr. Amsterdam No Brains Hooch I'm Not the One The Bitter End 88 We're All to Blame Open Your Eyes Angels with Dirty Faces No Reason Honorable mentions: Screaming Bloody Murder Goddamn I'm Dead Again I tend to prefer the heavy stuff. They do it so well and it sets them apart from the bands they're lumped in with. I do still love their more pop-punk leaning songs, as well.
My personal order of the 3 bands would be: 1. sum 41 2. blink 182 3. green day (although american idiot is one of my favorite albums of all time) However, i would probably put new found glory in at 1 or 2 depending on my mood. absolutely loving the record. i have enjoyed playing it from front to back daily.
As a lover of Green Day, no they don't lol. You know a Green Day song as soon as it starts. I love the guy, but he says a ton of stupid stuff. And the fans think it's consistent as far their albums being consistently good.
Yeah it's a style of music I enjoy, but not one that I listen to regularly. I've got friends that almost only listen to Hard Rock and Metal though.
Yep. Her band was at least on point but she ruined it lol. Staind did Nothing Else Matters acoustic which was cool. KoRn did One which was good but they skipped the solo or "talented" part lol. Snoop rapped Sad but True and Limp Bizkit butchered Welcome Home.
Funnily enough I don't hate that Limp Bizkit cover. A studio version without Fred's crowd shenanigans would have been great IMO.
It always made me happy that Dave was the only guitarist there who attempted (and nailed) a guitar solo.
Smaller pop punk bands are putting up those kinds of numbers or doubling it easily. Classic Hopeless Records terribly promoting another album
I'm curious what early 2000s pop-punk type band is doing the best in the current climate, all numbers of anything from this genre I have seen are bummers
