I don't hate the concept of Suicide Squad at all. In fact, it has the potential to be one of the best superhero movies ever. Unfortunately, what we saw last year was a shallow, shitty representation of what could have been.
100%. I feel like if you have primary examples of what has been working for a rival company, the history of what made these characters work in other iterations on the big screen, and a stellar cast that the final film was an impossible feat. Like, I am impressed that they had so much potential and an open runway, yet somehow managed to never even get the plane off the ground.
Of course they didn't get the plane off the ground, they flew around in helicopters in this movie. And I think they all crashed. Awkward.
Seriously. I remember having such different feelings about Leto being Joker from that trailer. Was expecting a lot more than we received.
I love that Leto did so much pretentious stuff only for people to go "meh" at his 11 minutes of screen time
I don't really blame Leto for his blah Joker, I blame the writers. I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll get it write in the sequel.
The character is the joker........I don't see how the actual performance was bad. People have it out for this movie though.
I mean, he did the best that he could with the words written on the script. Personally I thought he had the mannerisms and voice down well, but had to work with really crumby material.
Yeah his actual script of lines was really bad. If had been more prominent in the movie and had a bit more of his own leeway with it I'd imagine it would've been 10x's better.
Umm, how is it Leto's fault? The script was trash. This Hot Topic re characterization of the Joker was gonna suck regardless of the actor.
