It's being advertised as an "Extended Edition" right? I would assume they're intercut with the rest of the movie.
Sounds like it. Someone I follow on Twitter has seen it, says it's just a couple Joker scenes and the bar stuff that was cut mostly. No huge changes/scenes like BVS. Just a cash grab.
The bar scene just sucks what little life the movie still has left, right out of it. That scene drags on for way too long and comes at the worst time. When Will Smith toasts to "honor amongst thieves", I cringe. So cliche. And considering only a couple are thieves in the first place... Bad writing throughout. The first half was actually paced pretty well, though.
When I have the time for Movie Fights, I'll watch it on occasion. Just wish they didn't keep bringing Max Landis back
I actually haven't kept up with it in months. I made a thread about it on here, no one really posted, and it made me less encouraged to watch them in general haha
My roommate and I actually got so into them that he subscribed to ScreenJunkies Plus, lol. It's not really worth it but it's kinda fun to watch live and tweet at them during the show. All Star Wars episode this Thursday!
I think the roasts on SJ Plus are pretty well done too. Movie fights can be really fun depending on who they have on. But yeah, they did go easy on the movie. Didn't bring up how the plot to save Waller seemed forced and a terrible idea or how the villain's plan didn't make any sense.
The DC fan boys seem to be extra rage filled these days. Sadly, they have to balance being "honest" with how much shit they feel like taking.
I'm a huge DC fan boy, but how can you not be honest with yourself lol. I have no brand loyalty, if it's bad I'll admit it. Both BvS and SS have crazy plot issues.
I guess so then lol. I get too hyped for these movies though. The first time I saw the BvS comic con trailer I had tears in my eyes. Though disappointing, I still have a lot of stuff I liked in these films. Mostly the first half of the movies, I think both fall apart in the back half.
The fan boys who would attack something as silly as an Honest Trailer type video are insane. To them these movies are perfect. I'm sure there are some real winners on this video anyway. I may actually go browse for a few minutes.
haha, I like a page on FB called DCEU films or something like that because they post cool behind the scenes and fan pics, but they are so bitter that these movies aren't well received and post about it all the time. It's so sad.
I actually really liked the additions in the extended cut. They helped address one of my biggest flaws with the original version which was the glorification of the Harley/Joker relationship. The new scenes help show his abusiveness and that he doesn't really love/care for her. Plus there's a new wrinkle to the Joker origin to explain his lack of one that I find really clever. It doesn't change the end which still has problems as well as enchantress but it helps with the characterizations which were lacking. To be fair, I enjoyed the original cut too so take my opinion with a grain of salt depending on your view of the theatrical cut.
Is there any edition where I can watch a version of the film that wasn't cut together by a trailer house?
From what I heard, there is a Ayer cut that was shown but too dark as apposed to the one edited by the trailer studio. I don't think it'll ever be released and Ayer seems like he doesn't want to go the Josh Trank route and complain getting him black listed....
