Is he some kind of Mayan or Aztec deity? He's essentially the Hulk for comparative purposes with Marvel.

I get that, it just sort of takes you out of the movie when his wife is is yelling at him for gang banging as though she didn't notice his face.

Leto's Joker seriously felt like a bad Johnny Depp impersonation. I'd like to see more to give a better judgment. From the brief time we spent w/ him, that's all I could think of.

He is no Hulk. Banner tried to kill himself and the other guy spit it back out.

Seriously though, I see your point.

I know what you mean. He probably got those tattoos prior to meeting her, but already gave up his ways.

Ledger made a better impression with not much more screen time in a longer film. So Leto just sucked.

Yea. Turns into something big when he's angry, and he can't control it.

I took it that he was a gang banger, got legit for his family (or just did it on the down low). So he already had the tattoos. But I am making that assumption. The movie certainly does not tell us that or bother to even try,

Something similar happened in BvS when they were introducing The Flash. The couldn't be bothered to run a razor over Ezra Miller's face during the "vision/dream/whatever" scene.

Could've done without the man-bun too.

It's not really something the movie sets up to be a huge blow.

haha yea, just skip over the mourning of the savior of humanity.

You're right. There was plenty of fun action and it looked/sounded good. There were some funny lines and badass moments. But the characters were written horribly and there wasn't enough explanation to anything important. I'd equate this to something like Pacific Rim where as there was little to no story or plot development, but it was amazing to look at.

Pacific Rim told a competent, if simple story. This film fails that.

<sigh> oooook, I am going to try to take a break trashing this movie in the thread. I am sure people who enjoyed the movie want to come here and talk about it.

Patty Jenkins, you are our last hope!

We don't know that Diablo is dead

fine, I already forgot that they made it at least look like Diablo died

That's what bothered me the most. Something should have been done to give this variation of him some integrity as a major villain/character.

To be fair, there is nothing wrong with having a murderous villain with no motive.

Usually that type doesn't sacrifice themselves to save others though.

Although we did get to see Diablo was not that type.

Can anyone else help me with the after credits scene? To me, I thought that Batman was going to use the Justice League to take down the task force. He specifically said "shut it down, or me and my friends will shut it down for you".

I disagree. That's too easy. It doesn't do the character justice.

I heard something like, "shut it down. if anything else comes up, my friends and I will stop it." But I could be wrong.
