*with that being said. Sorry, just wanted to correct that. and you're right. It's not that bad at all. Just something that stood out to me. I completely forgot that Tom Hardy was supposed to be in this. Joel Kinnaman will do more than a fine job though.
After these last 2 trailers, I'm 100% on board. Really sold on the Joker now after this last trailer. Shouldn't have doubted Leto at all.
Went back and watched the previous trailer (Bohemian Rhapsody) and noticed Katana's katana has skulls floating around it. Then did a little research to find out exactly why. So cool. Curious to what The Joker and Harley Quinn's relationship will be. From previous trailers, it looks like we are going to get her back story and transformation.
I wonder if they are going to give backstory for Katana's husband being in the sword and whatnot, it would definitely make for an interesting element.
Hot damn, this is gonna be a really fun time! Margot looks like she's gonna be a riot, but seems like the type of movie where multiple cast members steal each scene.
Love seeing Batfleck in this. Also the shot of him holding Harley in front of the batmobile. Trailer looks great.
Ayer says the studio loves the movie and asked him what more he wanted, so apparently the reshoots are to add more action.
Thought so too. The dive off the bridge doesn't even look like Bats. I seriously thought it was Catman when I first saw it.
Will be seeing this day one. Very curious how the first weekend box office numbers will look, especially now in comparison to BvS. A lot of big names in this one too, and seems to be a lot more well received that BvS initially did with their trailers.
Just how sexual was Harley in the comics? I remember her being a love interest of The Joker, but was she as oblivious to herself and her surroundings as she is in the trailer? I'm not complaining about look at her, it just seems like an excuse to throw a little T & A in the movie. Annnnd, I have a sneaking suspicion that The Joker is going to be blown out of proportion, or too "out there" in terms of personality. I usually like Leto as an actor, but all I see is him playing The Joker, I don't see the character, if that makes sense.
As someone who thinks Leto is an overrated actor and hates his Joker look, you can't judge how a movie or performance will be off a trailer. Trailers are completely different than movies in their objectives and styles and what they play up or don't show. The more one can divorce anticipation of a movie from a trailer, usually the better the actual viewing experience, at least from what I've noticed/been through.
I'm not really judging it, but all I see is Leto playing the Joker. Typically you can separate the actor from character but in this case I just can't. Like with Ledger, I didn't see the dude from 10 Things I Hate About You running around with make up.
So don't see the movie, no one cares what you think. The idea obviously passed through with the big execs.
I keep meaning to look up Cara Delevingne's character bc I don't think I know anything at all about her.
I don't care if anyone listens to my opinion as its just the way I feel, I never said anything about not wanting to see the movie. It's just going to be one aspect of it that I can't get behind.
His performance will likely play differently in the context of an entire movie rather than just trailer snippets.
That's true, maybe it's his overall look and costume design (so far) that I'm not into. Knowing Leto, he's going to have some sort of really serious moments, which is good because he's a damn fine actor, so I am looking forward to that.
