I hate when movies can't keep the look of a character consistent throughout. Rick Flagg, facial hair and head hear was different in almost every scene. Dialogue almost made the movie feel like a B film. The first 30 min was so promising and then just a straight nosedive.

I'm a massive MCU fanboy and even I'm irritated that the DCEU is being criticized basically because it's not doing exactly what Marvel does/did.
Haven't read through the thread, so I don't know what the general consensus is, but this may have been the worst movie I've ever paid money to see.
This film isn't bad cause it didn't do what marvel did. If it tried to do a marvel film it would have been even worse.
The whole movie I kept thinking about how Leto reacted to the final cut. Hahah thats so funny. He got so hyped up and then gets like 15 minutes of screen time/ half of which is half baked flashbacks.
“If I die anytime soon, it’s probably likely that it’ll surface somewhere. That’s the good news about the death of an actor is all that stuff seems to come out.” As IGN left the room we told Leto we hope he doesn’t die anytime soon, to which he rather darkly responded “We all die.” /eyeroll
The cuts definitely affected the Joker. The "romance" between them doesn't work and he never really gets to do anything. He doesn't feel like a character. the scene of him after the guy playing poker was one that stood out as being chopped completely. Same with the car scenes, but they managed to keep Batman punching Harley in... One thing I would love, is let side characters vary wildly per film. Like have this Joker here and have him act differently in another film, like they're two different comics written by different teams.
Did your audience laugh when this happened? A lot of mine did, including friends, and it made me so very uncomfortable and sad.
Wow, what a mess of a film. It played out more like a video game than a movie. I see what all the criticism was about in terms of it being choppy and disjointed. I felt like every time a character would start to break out and show some edge/aggression they would be tamed for PG-13 purposes. Not a fan of Letos Joker. The laugh, the look, the lines, it was all really lacking. Hard to follow up Ledger for sure, but this wasn't the way to do it. Him and many of the characters will just filler. Harley, Deadshot, Flagg and Waller were the only ones that seemed somewhat developed and utilized. As others have said, the soundtrack was pretty bad and weirdly placed in the film. This could have been really great and maybe would have been had the studio not handcuffed the production.

Jared Leto... hurts like Satan warning graphic/nsfw I've seen other anecdotes on Reddit about him liking teenage girls too, again all anecdotal
