Felt like posting a yearly reminder that "Impossible Soul" is one of this generations greatest achievements.
If the entirety of The Age of Adz was as good as its highest moments it would be one of the best albums in existence.
I think Carrie & Lowell is my favourite Sufjan Stevens record now - I also love the live album. Age of Adz is good though.
Bought Carrie & Lowell on vinyl yesterday and spun it while I packed boxes to move. Man, that record sounds absolutely incredible.
I would say that about Illinois and Carrie & Lowell before I'd say that about The Age of Adz. But who even cares? He so good.
Oh, I totally understand, no worries. Adz has always been on another level than the rest of his discography for me, that’s all.
Absolutely man. Also, I was saying "who cares?" as a jab to my own comment. Sufjan's my favorite songwriter so starting a debate about one of his works being lesser is kind of counterproductive of me. Hahaha. We're so civil. We're explaining ourselves without there even being an argument.
He is a phenomenal artist. I think this year's output has really cemented that for me (as if there was ever any doubt!)
