Been listening to as much Sufjan as I can this week. Finally listened to the Avalanche for the first time, which wasn't as great a surprise as All Delighted People was for me, but was still cool and I'm sure better if I listen more (and while I'm not working). Also really enjoyed The Greatest Gift and now I feel like I have better idea what to expect from C&L Live album, which is about all that's left for me to listen to besides some of the scores/electronic albums which I may or may not ever get to. Listening to The Ascension now and I really don't get the lukewarm response, I love this album. Anyway, very excited to hear this full thing tomorrow (or perhaps tonight).
Maybe a controversial opinion, but I like Carrie & Lowell Live more than the recorded album. The added instrumentation fills out the songs so well.
Ugh this is absolutely wonderful. Every song sounds like a continuation of something else he’s done, it’s magnificent
This is absolutely unreal. I've been almost entirely away from the internet outside of work so I had no idea there was even an upcoming album. 3 songs in and I'm fucking floored. WOW
