I’d love to listen to the bonus tracks but I don’t have a premium account so I can’t send private messages. Is there any other ways to get the files? (I’ve ordered the Rough Trade CD but haven’t received it yet plus I still need to find a bloody CD player… )

love how they're so directly lifted from Adz, amazing self-referential stuff

I was gonna say there’s a ton of stuff here that reminds me of adz specifically

This feels closest to All Delighted People to me, which itself was sort of the bridge between earlier Sufjan and Adz. Always loved how ADP found that balance and it's so lovely to hear that here.

Oh man. I feel like that'd be a great entry point into Sufjan since it captures his range so well.

I’m loving the little jam sessions captured in the outro of most of these tracks. Definitely agree with others that have said it’s the best capture of the spirit of what he was doing on the live versions of the C&L songs.

it also reminds me of Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 where you essentially get two albums. The first half of each track is the song and the second half is the groove/jam/dance portion.

It's surreal how much sadder "So You Are Tired" is in the context of the record (and knowing the background). The piano coming in after "My Red Little Fox" turns my stomach in the same way "Fourth of July" does when that ambience comes in after "Eugene". Just feels like the record gets even realer from that point on.

Rough Trade US told me they were waiting on a shipment from their UK supplier, so I'm not sure anyone stateside has it yet.

when the instruments start to swell and the choir starts layering on top of each other I lose it
