    what a waste of wood

It makes me so happy that my favorite musicians are still dropping absolute bombs like this nearly 2 decades into their career

This record is a mix of the best parts of C&L and his first 2 records. I'm feeling all the possible feels.

    Goddamnit Sufjan.

  8. Legitimately flabbergasted at how good this is. I know I shouldn't be, but like... I didn't expect a contender for his best album lmao. Wow.

Agreed with all of this. While I still love and occasionally revisit "The Ascension" I kinda started to feel like the true magic of Soof was gone.

I was wrong. This record is basically a 10. I've spent my entire morning at work texting my friends telling them they need to listen ASAP

He just came out. The album is dedicated to his partner Evans Richardson who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Wow he’s had it really rough. Though I thought he was already openly gay? Wasn’t aware

What a bittersweet day this must be for him. Kind of incredible that he seems in relatively good spirits considering everything he's been through this year.

Album is fantastic. Can't wait to spend more time with it.

Having gone through the album once BEFORE reading about the dedication was enough to bring me to tears but AFTER reading about his partner? I am so sad, and so weepy. WOW.

He’s been in the closet until now. There were a few sightings of the two of them together like at the Oscars the year Sufjan performed but he’s never said anything about his sexuality until today.
