I don't mind the Hotline Bling cover but I am conflicted. It feels like a good release after such an emotional and heavy set but it also feels like a weird and tacked on ending in the same way.
FJM seems like the kind of guy to take psychedelic drugs to further his ego, not question it. But what do I know. Sadly I've never seen Sufjan live, can't wait to listen to this.
This album is top ten of the decade for me for sure. Don't listen to it that often because it's just so emotionally heavy but I get chills when I do. "The Only Thing" is definitely my favorite Sufjan song at this point. I'd be lying if I said I can listen to it without getting a little bit
Finally had time for the live album, and boy it does not disappoint. Really takes me back to the show and reminds me of all the moments I loved. The extended outro on All Of You Wants All Of Me, holy shit. The new ending to Fourth of July... Vesuvius update, and of course Blue Bucket of Gold outro... love this album
I need to get this. I keep forgetting because it's a long album. I don't want to listen to it in bits, I want to immerse myself in it! Been a busy month.
You got a tape deck? I currently do not have a way to play either tapes or CDs. Just vinyl and digital ha.
yeah, i sorta fell for cassettes in the past couple months so i got a boombox on craigslist. i honestly really like the sound of them, and it opens up easy and cheap ways for me to acquire great 80s and 90s music. like, i have physical copies of Loveless and Hounds of Love that didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
Two new songs coming soon, can't tell how to find out when via spotify, but they are on this soundtrack:
Unless I am doing something wrong, it seems that you can stream the songs on Apple Music but not Spotify?
