Saw this on Reddit and it's been true of me ever since this came out.

 

sufjan is back. it's been steadily raining for the last 24 hours and i finally put this on and i'm in love with it. murder and crime is my favorite sufjan song since fourth of july. this is gonna be on for a long time.

 

i guess i should check this out huh

Dang, I really liked The Ascension

 

This erased the Ascension for me. Still spinning it a couple times a week.

 

Wow. My first thought is gratitude. He's been so prolific. His work always includes so much vulnerability, too, which is, in and of itself, difficult work that many of us would rather avoid. I want be the kind of music-listener that resists a consumeristic mentality when it comes to these kinds of things. I truly hope he finds such a break restful and life-giving.

That was a nice listen. Doesn’t feel like his comment during that interview about stepping away from music means it’ll be a long break. guess we’ll see.
