Yeah I think Kendall needs it the most out of all of them. He was the presumed successor and was groomed for it, so I'd say go him.

But yeah there's no one I feel GREAT rooting for haha. Maybe Gerri or Frank.

It was big Michael Scott energy for me, honestly. And so funny.

Roman's chat to his sister after she announced she was pregnant. It was romanesque, but cant beleive i have some how drawn a line at this stage with him.

Roman has always been seeking his fathers love and he was even willing to give our political system over to authoritarianism to get it. Only to never get it...

Kind of paraphrasing a thought that was talked about on The Watch podcast.

Roman never gave a shit about our political system so it wouldn’t really be giving anything up for him. It did look like he was about to betray his siblings and Gerri all of whom I do think he cares about though so the point stands in general. But yeah Roman is a selfish and abusive shithead he has no problem with ending democracy as long as he’s more powerful. I was hoping he’d get trampled tbh :)

A small part of me still thinks somehow menckyn ends up losing and atn gets so much shit for calling it early that Tom gets fired.

I think this ends with the two companies combining but I have no idea who buys who and who is the leader. I'm basing this purely off of the image towards the end of the opening credits that shows a mobile app called "STARGO" or whatever

roman’s always been the least willing of the siblings to acknowledge his dad’s mortality. it figures it wouldn’t really hit him until he was up there trying to deliver a speech while staring at the coffin

They also kinda abandoned it but he also thought that Logan could have been reading his "fuck you" (or whatever) text when he died

i felt like they tiptoed near kendall being rootable at the close of last season/maybe beginning of this one, but last two-three episodes he's been as bad as ever. team hope it all goes up in flames/greg

Greg is terrible and he’s lost all like-ability the past few seasons. I think Nicholas Braun being gross (understatement) coming to light may taint that but idk I feel like his character has been just as selfish and exploitative as anyone else the past couple seasons.
I do love that about this show, they just refuse to give us anyone to root for and you just have to go along for the ride

They’ve very clearly written Greg to go off the deep end morally. Earlier on you could chalk it up to him being pressured by his superiors after a lifetime of being hopeless, but at this point he is conscious and open about doing bad things to further himself

don't root for any of them, running the company = becoming logan = being trapped in hell forever. hope waystar collapses

Rooting for anyone misses the arc of the show. Even if one of them were to “win”, I would guess the finale would end with an acknowledgement of the personal victory being a minor, ultimately hollow moment in the continuation of the cycle of capitalism they are committed to strengthening (a la Mad Men)

Wouldn’t that be the exact reason he wins, though? Everyone else has something going on that’s obviously distracting them.

Maybe even menckyn puts him there as his figurehead puppet. He has no agenda of his own and a clear lack of intellect, it would be easy to control him.

It also gives me original jar jar blinks was supposed to be the sith vibes lol

All of last ep was basically Kendall recognizing that he has the choice of having a decent life or becoming Logan for the sake of building a legacy, and he immediately became consumed with the latter

We’re going to for sure see a deja vu from when Kendall tried to overthrow his dad in the beginning of the series. He either figures it out, has enough of the board and wins or he’s so distracted and emotional about being a shitty dad that someone random comes out of nowhere to take control. Will laugh if everyone defers to Connor and he just shrugs and is like “sure, okay”

For sure, but part of what's been so good about season 3 and 4 in particular is the time it's given to making each character at least temporarily sympathetic and then pulling off each of those masks entirely. masterclass in that with Roman this year. Making you think you can root for any individual one of them for even a moment is something I'd argue the show does intentionally from time to time to enhance the ultimate point you're describing.
