Shiv believes what she believes on paper but obviously not through her actions, also a big reason why she never wins because there's that misalignment (the other big one is obviously she's a woman) - whereas someone like Roman just truly does not give a fuck and doesn't have to pretend. I do think Shiv is most like Logan and for a while because of that thought she might take over but it's not looking that way. Logan was very intelligent and still principled but in a way that aligned with his actions which might be the key difference there.
Yes. I was stating that from that moment on, she goes full throat for how wrong it is, despite being a total fraud lol
Just thinking about the last episode, there was a point which i was surprised at Shiv. When Kendall called her out for lying, why didnt she expose his plan to try and run the ship himself that he confided in her with? Does Kendall somehow actually end up having a lot of things in his favour? Frank seemed on board with the idea at the party and could convince Logans old team to support it I reckon. He is also pals with Stewy who has a big interest in royco? What do Shiv & Roman have? Do they actually have much outside of him confessing to that murder? Ps cant beleive i just typed all this
Idk why she wouldn’t just call Nate and say “hey you need to tell these dudes you’ll block the deal or else they’re going to fuck your campaign over” unless it was because she’d rather see the deal go through than stop the fascist. She doesn’t deserve sympathy, she’s also a malignant presence like all of them, and ineffective.
Because I don't think that would work (given they'd had prior conversations about it and clearly didn't have any interest) and it's really not their campaign that gets fucked, they probably do still ultimately end up winning
Personally i think the campaign has a vested interest in not having one of the largest outlets in the world call the election for their opponent, in such a way that would change their perspective from the beginning of the episode by the end.
All she said was they said they’d consider it I’m sure she could have gotten them to say that. She’s clearly acting in her interests first and foremost, it’s not just a coincidence.
I haven't made spaghetti for myself in a while but I've had spaghetti with olive oil twice since this episode aired because that line gave me the craving
