He became a killer in Logan's eyes. Which is what he has been looking for in his kids and not finding.
I’m kind of annoyed that that the whole picking the next president thing didn’t go anywhere because it was the best episode of the season and seemed like a turning point but instead the tension comes from a sale that will just make everyone even more insanely rich at worst
And Greg’s playboy arc is kinda dumb but hopefully they do something meaningful with that next season as well
Tom knows that Shiv knows. i was so SO SO hoping the last line of the episode when shiv says “mom fucked us” was tom leaning in close and saying “no she didnt”.
Roman in a pit of desperation pleading to his father and then to Gerri was so good in the sense he’s my favorite character despite being an incredible douche bag, I actually felt bad for him. Kieran (along with everyone else) knocked it out of the park in this finale.
i think it's a little shortsighted to assume those storylines lead to nowhere until next season begins
Been meaning to start this show for a while now. Had a friend telling me how great this third season was, I guess the finale was last night? I rarely watch series like this these days, just Better Call Saul. How does Sucsession match up quality-wise to the all-timers like Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Mad Men?
It’s closer to the level of breaking bad and but not quite mad men and the sopranos is still in another tier imo. Either way it’s definitely worth watching, one of the best tv shows currently airing easily
Yeah I know asking if it matches up to all time greats is kind of dumb and generic, hard to compare too when its only a few seasons in.
In retrospect that was the moment when he fully dismissed Shiv though. I'm sure they'll get into politics again next season but honestly the pit I had in my stomach made me realize that the near-constant PTSD I have due to paying attention to the winds of American politics doesn't necessarily need to be triggered on a weekly basis by my current favorite show.
The show gets good around the episode titled Prague—think that’s like five in. I realize that’s more of a commitment these days but I definitely think this show’s writing might reach the level of Mad Men and Breaking Bad (Sopranos is my fav show so that’s on a different level altogether for me). The second and third season just keep hitting after that, phenomenal stuff.
i like his development over the season. talking back to logan a bit, his interactions with shiv when she was on logan's good side, the finale. even going back to the second episode with the discussion in kendall's kid's room. his character's best season.
The plot from the previous episode about Romans pic is also a card for Gerri to play if Roman ever does something to piss her off. “Oh you’re going to make him CEO over me, well let me tell you about some of the texts he used to send me.”
Also, can’t wait to see “Manager Greg” next season. I hope we get a scene where he has to fumble through firing someone or something
