when there are mergers and acquisitions and stuff, you can contract in C-suite members to the agreement. mattson buys the company but tom gets installed in the c-suite - likely as logan’s puppet
Greg thinks he will enjoy life at “the bottom of the top” with 20 underlings under him lol also Greg at the wedding sitting between Comfry and the princess to be was great and perfect directing lol
Which makes it all the funnier just how much of a helpless baby he is when dealing with anyone even slightly higher on the food chain. Aside from Logan he’s likely the biggest public evil face amongst the main characters, but in private he’s a nonthreatening loser
i wouldn’t be surprised if the show going forward has a slightly different structure. less the family drama in the company (more with tom/shiv) and focusing more on the politics with menken and gojo moving forward. would love to see Skarsgard, Kirk and Brody become main cast next year also wouldn’t be surprised if Ken goes off to rehab or something and misses a good chunk of next season. Strong’s film acting scheduling is pretty booked up for the foreseeable future
i doubt we will. obviously hard to predict but there were 14 months between the premiere of s1 and the premiere of s2. i’d imagine the gap is closer to normal without the full shutdown of the entertainment industry for months
Would love to see Alan Ruck’s contract where he gets to be the 5th lead of the show but clearly films 1/10th the time of everybody else
What's scary is i don't know if I should take Roman's "Who hasn't clipped the odd kid with a Porsche? It's like a right of passage. I've killed a kid too, it's no big deal" line earnestly or facetiously.
Happy to eat crow on my “I think Kendall’s either dead or leaving the show/I can’t see where his story goes from here” take. The first five minutes felt awkward to me in the moment, it had a bit of the “jk Kendall’s fine guys we just did a cliffhanger on you” energy I thought the show was too good for. But it all made sense when I realized how pivotal that kinda-not-really-near-death was to sparking Kendall’s reconnection with the siblings. During the whole plan to overthrow Logan I knew there had to be another shoe to drop so I wasn’t exactly blown away that the plan blew up —— but then Tom. What this show can do with a pat on the shoulder and a look of realization crossing Shiv’s face…..what a fucking show. In a class of its own right now.
Rather than say things that everyone has already said, I just want to add that the scene where Kendall reveals everything to Shiv and Roman and they take turns trying to "comfort" him was, in the end, a strangely heartwarming scene where they actually almost seemed like a real family that cares about each other vs. how they usually are. I liked it. Also, I feel more than ever like there's really no one to root for in this. Like, I feel a little bad for the kids because they're getting screwed by Logan, but at the same time, Logan's not wrong about the whole "opportunity to get your own pile" business. And they're also terrible people in general, so it's kind of like, get fucked. I just want the show to end with Greg becoming king of wherever.
Wasn’t the guy who ran Vaulter billed as a lead or series regular but was only in 3 episodes lol. Feel like there are other oddities in the show too for some of the assistants and whatnot
It’s funny how we’re all fans of Greg and want him to succeed but he’s not a good person either he’s just (so far) much less shitty than the rest but still shitty in different / less significant ways lol. If he gets underlings in season 4 will be curious to see how he treats them.
Oh yeah, he's absolutely a terrible person. His whole current gameplan that he gave Tom is clear evidence he's a shit. But the fact that he's just so awkward about everything makes me want him to fall upwards.
I think that's just a promo thing since the focus of the show is the family. the actual credits' billing order is alphabetical. i don't think anyone would argue that connor is more of a lead role than tom or greg
he was, for two whole seasons haha. marcia too. carolina was upgraded to main cast this season, I believe, and she was in two episodes - less than her other season appearances.
