I keep thinking of the “I’m a good person” line Kendall says at dinner with Logan and trying to think of ways that he “proves” that in this episode or the future but they contain outlandish, non-Succession ways to doing that so they’re not even worth mentioning.

besides the fact that no, Kendall is not a good person and him saying that and thinking it about himself are just another in a long line “what an idiot this douche is” moments. And then I think maybe that’s why he gets super drunk at the pool, over does it and yeah, whoops. Who knows, just a thought.

Caught up on last week's episode just now. The end there with Roman had me howling omfg

the point of the “i’m a good person” line isn’t to wait and see him prove it in the future, it’s to show how delusional he is in the present. there is no happy ending for any of these characters in this show.

 

gonna go out on a limb and say that we will all watch the season finale and be surprised at what transpires

 

Why does it need to get out?

That dinner conversation between Logan and Kendall seemingly pushed Ken to his breaking point and may have led to his death.

 

I think it's foolish to ignore the numerous times this season in which Logan's health was compromised, and I still think if anyone in the family dies (at any point in the series) it's him

 

Completely possible you're right as far as the dinner and Kendall dying.

As far as the real story getting out, I would find Comfrey's briefing that there's an investigatory podcast about the Roys looking into the 'bullied waiter' a weird red herring if that thread is done after last Sunday, especially given that it's one of the only times that situation has even been alluded to in two full seasons since it happened. I don't think Ken's a good person or that he has any kind of legitimate redemption coming if he's not dead, fwiw, but if he's not then I feel like we haven't hit the endgame with his guilt. And with as low as his standing is now, it seems about equally possible that he could be forthcoming with that information as it does that it could explode in his face at the worst moment, as it seems hard to imagine him ever reclaiming a position where he has something to lose.

I know people like to throw "it's not that kind of show" around re: Succession and relying on tropes or twists and I agree that's true. But I also don't think, by its conclusion, that it will be a show where Logan always came out ahead. I almost worry that if this is it for Kendall we're headed deeper into the wheel spinning some have criticized this season for, not out of it. Maybe a flimsy reason for thinking he's still alive, but I feel like the show still needs him.

 

logan last week looked stronger than ever. he isn't going anywhere.

kendall's storyline has run its course and is in danger of just recycling the same threads if it continues much further. dead or not, I think strong is done as the show's "star" after tonight.

I was only able to get my 45 closest friends and 4 camera men to film us but we’re ready!

 

Succession has really helped me make sure I get all my to do items done before the episode airs as I usually catch up on this thread / read some other things and then bed so I’ve been making sure for the last hour that dishes are done, laundry is away, garbage taken out, etc.

next week I guess I just go back to be being a piece of shit on sundays
