Willa should just marry Connor. She's already basically married to him but without any of that sweet potential alimony/estate, not like she has anything else going on
I disagree that the show loses trust. It’s all in how they execute the next opening scene. Too soon to tell.
I mean, you can look at the scene and see him click a pic that's four or five back lol. idk what to tell you.
I’m not saying they can’t make it work, but if he’s not dead then I’m skeptical of how they’ll manage it, which is more a comment on how bait and switches like that haven’t really worked on other shows (good shows, too) in the past than it is a comment on if I trust Succession to handle it well. I think Succession is a great show so I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the ending was about as close to definite as you can be that he was dying while still being an ambiguous scene. The music, the swirling camera focusing on the air leaving his lungs, it feels like a death scene.
Actual buckled laughing at the Dick pic incident. Interested to see where the Kendal story line goes. Off the wall though maybe but Could that Gojo guy end up wanting him in on the deal? Was at his birthday party? Kendal has been angling this kind of deal to modernise the company historically. The “merging of equals” suggesting 50/50 control. Logan / Stewey think they can control him and prevents him talking about the boy drowning.
Just something I want to add that no one else has mentioned is that line the Gojo guy gave about getting into people "and then they just disappoint me" and the long silence afterward was so awkward I could snack on it like a candy bar.
The way Roman slipped up isn't actually possible on an iPhone. Rather than just have his text thread with Gerri open, for some reason he opened up a new text box, so he had to fill in the name of the recipient. And when Logan's text popped up, Roman clicking it away somehow put him as the recipient. bad show, 0/10
coming back to inform that I made this my screensaver on my phone and work computer today. I can’t stop laughing at this.
Man, I missed the lavish set locations this season. This week was incredibly beautiful even by their usual standards.
This. The change in scenery itself was soooooo welcome. That’s been my one problem with this season was it felt a little one-note or bland location wise, where all the other seasons had pretty distinct location based episodes.
Man, those scenes with Shiv and Tom brought back some unpleasant memories of a toxic past relationship. She’s totally cruel to him, but it’s like she doesn’t even realize the mind-control games she’s playing.
Dream Song 29 by John Berryman | Poetry Foundation I love the tradition of the finale titles all being taken from a line of this poem. Apparently this year’s is “All the Bells Say”
