I'm convinced this is it for Kendall. It does feel like there is not much else for his character to do, that convo between him & Logan felt like a final conversation. There's been plenty of setup for his death - lines like "i'm a ghost". I will say if I am right, I bet next week's episode will be a farce of the other family members finding out at the dumbest possible moment, with them somehow avoiding the news for most of it at every possible obvious moment they should find out.

 

and the absolute irony since I’m assuming character-wise Logan and Gerri are close in age and i feel like the assistant Roman thinks he’s fucking is at the very least around Roman’s age but likely younger than Roman yet she’s not disgusting for sleeping with Logan (if, in fact they are (they are))

there's a wide shot of the wedding reception in the S3 trailer and he's there

 

the shot of kendall in the weeks ahead trailer at the wedding reception that we haven't seen in the episodes yet shows him in the same shirt he wore this most recent episode when he was kicked out before his dinner with logan. likely just a cut scene from the edit of this week.

however of note in that same trailer there is someone who seems to be kendall standing outside of the pool and faceplanting into the pool. could have been another thing cut in the edit, maybe they shot multiple different ways of the ending with him starting to drown before they landed on falling asleep. i have to doubt at this point he wakes up, gets out of the pool, and then faceplants in the pool

 

One possibility I’ve seen no one mention is Kendall going public with the waiter death + potentially implicating Logan in the cover up.

It would be far more in line with their conversation this ep, where Ken insists that he’s a good person and that is the first thing that Logan uses to throw in his face that he has something obvious to repent for. And it would potentially be Ken’s final card to play to take down Logan. Plus Comfry mentioned that podcast that was doing a deep dive on all of the Roy family scandals

 

I had to rewind to catch what this was. Knew it was Shiv but wondered how bad it was gonna be so this was funny and yet tame (thankfully)

 

In the New Yorker profile, this happens - “When I asked Strong about the rap that Kendall performs in Season 2, at a gala for his father—a top contender for Kendall’s most cringeworthy moment—he gave an unsmiling answer about Raskolnikov, referencing Kendall’s “monstrous pain.”

So comparing his character to the guy who kills someone, spends a whole book feeling guilty about it, then turning himself in, definitely gives me the feeling that I’m right and Ken is going to go public with the waiter story himself

Maybe it's just me but I Thought I saw multiple exhales there, like he was still breathing air in and out but nose was close enough to the surface that his exhales were blowing bubbles. But maybe I saw wrong

 

he was definitely blowing bubbles. my assumption is we don't actually see it on camera and his head drifts further underneath. most of the important action in this series often occurs off camera and in between episodes.

 

Logan is definitely older than Gerri. The actress is a decade younger than Brian Cox

 

I think if he doesn’t die, the show loses trust if it tries to have a cliffhanger like that again. Again, the way that sequence is shot is so intense and dramatic. They want you to think he’s dying. I’m not 100% convinced he’s dead, but if he doesn’t die, I’m not sure how they’d make the ending of the last episode dramatically satisfying.

 

Wonder if they’d elevate Rava a bit and have an arc where she sues the Roys and Waystar. That keeps Kendall an emotional and logistical presence in the show and is rife for these characters having to face how little they value each other’s lives

 

My fiancé was surprised I even asked if she thought he was dead, she just read it as him being sad and seeing how long he could hold his breath before having to suck in water

 

the next episode will start with Kendall waking up naked in a hotel bath tub while "Va pensiero, sull'ali dorate" plays
