Why the fuck did a writer name a character Comfry lmao is that some fancy literary reference from the 1400’s I don’t get or someone that just decided to hate a character they were making

 

i thought we were gonna see it again and it would be clearly punched. greg has to snap at some point.

 

agreed, I thought it was gonna be that moment. But an episode with a Tom desk flip and a Greg TV smash would be too much for one episode

 

One super small thing I noticed that is probably nothing but you never know with this show - when Connor was all heated about the fake magazine cover the camera shows Shiv and Kendall laughing (separate shots) while Roman isn’t laughing but but looking mad and it made me think of when Shiv cut down Roman in Sophia’s room in ep 1 or 2 and he storms out and her and Kendall share a laugh while Connor says Shiv went too far.

I don’t think it means Shiv joins up with Kendal but idk it seems like they’re weirdly on the same page at times and those two moments I think briefly show that Shiv isn’t that different from her siblings, as much as she’d like to pretend she’s better than them

 

She grimaced as she was trying to put on her seatbelt over her 33 weeks pregnant stomach but otherwise it went well

 

This show is going to end with every character in more or less exactly the same place

i highly doubt Kendall is back to second in command and roman is outside of the executive suite

 

I don't really mean literally, obviously they're shuffling around and playing their games and all that, but overall I feel like the point of the show isn't a Game of Thrones "who's gonna end up on the throne" arc, but more a Wolf of Wall Street type "even if there's a comeuppance, it's not going to be satisfying" kind of thing. I see them ending up more or less in the same places they were in the pilot, with maybe different titles, maybe a wild card character or two is able to break away. This level of wealth is insulating and cyclical, no matter what happens, they're going to be "fine", even if they're not fine

 

How much time do we think has passed from episode 1 to now?

Every once and awhile I remember that Roman wasn’t even part of the company when the show started and now he’s like Logan’s most trusted confidant in a way. Granted Logan doesn’t have a lot of choices but still lol Roman jumped up the ranks a lot from ep1

 

yeah Kendall "losing" here is that he gets 2 billion dollars lol

 

In one of the later s2 episodes they mention that the shareholder meeting was two weeks away, so the first half of s3 all happens within a really short amount of time.

Also Roman was an employee in the company. They even talk about how he tried and failed running some movie studio that Waystar owned before the start of the series

 

right. he went off to LA bc he had disagreements with frank. that's why frank is fired e1.

 

I think there's also a time jump early on, no? Maybe after episode 2? At least one that's over a longer period of time than the rest of the episodes

 

There's definitely multiple episodes with time gaps in between that are barely touched on.

Logan's birthday is the premiere, then he has another one at the end of s2. So my guess is the series has taken place over 18 months or so, so far

What about Tiny Wu-Tang?

 

I still can’t get over that Naomi stays with him through this episode. Almost every other show would have had her make a scene and leave after he says / asks, “I have a watch… I’m just trying to figure out why you’d get me a watch”.

At the end though back at the apartment I kind of felt like she was done with all of this but who knows. They’re rich kids who like to do drugs together but I don’t really know what she gets out of this unless she somehow really does just like him and doesn’t find Kendall cringe as fuck like everyone else does lol

will also be interesting if they do buy Pierce or try to again, but I don’t see that working since the Roy’s aren’t any better a family than they were when they tried to buy them a few months/weeks ago lol

 

I think Naomi understands him, unlike most people in his life

 

I can't say I've ever heard the phrase "soak" the rich before. A quick dip in the pool is kinder than most of the rhetoric surrounding billionaires lol.
