oooooooh that is a very intriguing idea. Especially with how he’d just go to prison for the family!

although I feel like we’d have seen a scene of him meeting with someone, even if just in passing, to give that impression. If he is and it just suddenly comes out they could still pull it off but idk I feel like that would / should be something indicated or given the impression of before the reveal.

I think it was on “The Watch” podcast but they made a great point that maybe Greg shouldn’t be getting shit on by Kendal since he’s been the guy in the room and has the documents? (Although he probably gave them to Kendal or his lawyer by now). Like, buy him the watch Kendal, don’t be a dick lol he could turn on you and he’s literally holding the proof! In a Manila envelope labeled top secret!

I like that theory but it also feels out of line for this show - it’s been a while since I did a whole rewatch but I don’t remember them ever trying to hide the ball like that

it didn’t feel super hidden to me - i feel like they’ve been lying groundwork for tom to flip these three episodes, then the two conversations he had with shiv and logan seeing if they wanted him to turn himself in and both pretty much saying yes, and the call … it could be something else entirely but it at least seems to be establishing the possibility it’s him

though it probably is just the simplest explanation: kendall mentioned wanting a raid to lisa earlier in the episode

Their dog is fucking named Mondale lmao

(rewatching the episode and for some reason this just caught me as quite hilarious and definitely a name rich people would choose)

If the theory that Tom is working with the feds is true, I wonder if that is why he's so mad that Greg didn't accept his lawyer. Maybe he was trying to get Greg in with him, and I think that's very sweet

he didn't really seem that mad to me. more frustrated with the whole situation than greg's choice

I must say, I haven’t watched a show live on a week by week basis since LOST and even though part of me would love to have all of season 3 at once, I do kind of enjoy the weekly episode of “old time TV”. Gives me time to rewatch the episodes, listen to podcasts and get different perspectives and ideas on what’s gonna happen, it’s fun. It also helps that the show is pure gold. I wouldn’t be able to tolerate the week by week basis for every show but for Succession it works for me. Excited for a new episode in 50 minutes

Yeah after so many years of it I am pretty firmly anti-binge watching now. A show quickly becomes one big blur when you watch it all at once - it makes it harder to think of individual episodes as discreet works. And if something is a hit, it will be the biggest thing in the world for ~6 months before fading into the ether

I’ve been rewatching the first season for the first time and it reaffirmed what I felt the first time that the show doesn’t really take off until probably episode 5. Neither much humor nor much captivating drama before that.

Though I had forgotten that they let Connor’s crank beliefs slip through almost immediately lol, he just wasn’t given many lines so it can go by unnoticed
