But yeah so happy the best show on TV is back. I can't wait to see where it takes us when all is said and done.

And then we can binge rewatch the season and enjoy it even more. No other show like it today.

 

kinda thought this was as sharp as ever and very exciting to the point where I watched some of Kendall's scenes with my hands in front of my eyes lol

 

Omg the absolute cringe as he begs Rava to watch his news conference. The absolute douchebag he 180’s to is astounding lol. Like, I want him to succeed but when he does he’s an absolute douche.

And when he keeps interrupting the people who are there to give him ideas lmao

 

Kendall makes better business decisions when he has no confidence

 

“You want to suck my dick?”

“he said to his son as sexual assault allegations poured in”

lmao might be my favorite moment of the episode as Roman gets a pat on the back

 

Roman is the best

 

when Logan got off the phone with Roman and Logan was immediately like "ok it's not Roman" I lost it lmao

 

He's so insecure he has to talk over every woman in the room - Rava, the girl from Dust, his own lawyer

 

One of the podcasts or articles I read about the first episode that made a good point that of ALL the women lawyers in the world Logan and Kendal go after the same exact one and Logan acts like this is the only option. I get that it works for the TV story but in real life Logan would definitely have A) more options and B) would have egotistical lawyers reaching out for sure thinking that they can win this / this would be their big major case to get well known.

I assume Logan will find a different lawyer in the season to use but kind of weird that they make it seem like there’s only one option that would work for this lol

 

To my recollection, they threw out another name first but Logan rejected that basically saying that person would send a bad image and that the woman lawyer was just as good+Would present a good image+was friends with Shiv so they assumed they could lock her down. Then when he finds out Kendall has her, he flips out and says fuck it get that the original guy they discussed and go FULL FUCKING BEAST

 

yeah I remember them talking about a few different people while walking to the plane and Logan instantly shot them down, so it is good that they at least mentioned other people.

Also fascinating to see someone kind of turn Shiv down and not be impressed or cowering around her. I wonder what their relationship is/was because they certainly didn’t strike me as very friendly (understanding that if the friend is a lawyer and she knows what Kendal did she’s not gonna be happy to see Shiv lol)

 

Maybe this was talked about in articles between the seasons and I have not read anything about it but I wonder how different this episode (or entire season) would have been if there hadn’t been two years between the seasons. Like, if there was no global pandemic would this still be the exact same episode we saw on Sunday or because of the delay did the writers /creators change things? I’m sure they’ve been asked but I have not read any interviews about it and not sure id want to know, I’m all on board with whatever they give us.

 

Wait. I rewatched the premiere again and where is the bathroom that Kendal, Greg and Carolina (K?) are in in the opening scene? Where does the announcement at the end of season 2 take place? I assumed the announcement was at the main office but what room are they in when Kendal is in the bathroom before they leave? Does that office have empty apartments in it? Was the announcement at a hotel?

 

Kendall’s “who said I never killed someone” god damn

 

fuck, that line went over my head. Just clicked.

 

That was the best moment of the episode imo, a nice reminder that he’s not the ‘good guy’ just because he’s the anti-Logan. The smile he delivers it with was equal parts menacing and demented and just brilliant acting. Hopefully we see more of Logan’s evil manifesting in Kendall as the season goes on.

 

on top of how goofy it was it also had a looking of such a release off his shoulders. Yeah he didn’t actually tell someone what happened but even joking about it is more than he ever did in season 2 when it just ate him alive. Him being able to make such a quip in the moment is a potential eye opening moment to either Kendal being better than he has been in the past or just in the brink of completely unraveling and I can’t wait to see which plays out (or if both do, which is likely the case with Succession)

Greg’s responses in the car to Kendal are basically every response from every person I work with no matter what I’m asking for and it drives me nuts. I’m sure many can say that and that’s what makes the character and the scene so funny and frustrating but I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to strangle him more than that scene lol
