Just watched S4E8 “America Decides” and goooooooooooooddamn was that shit intense. I’ve been going through this thread and liking a lot of posts from a year ago because I love what a lot of folks said. I didn’t know if I was ever going to actually watch this show so I listened to a podcast back in January 2024 that discussed this final season with spoilers. THANKFULLY I forget everything they said except one detail Kendall doesn’t get it but that was also memed pretty heavily at the time. Can’t wait to finish the show with the funeral and whatever the finale has in store.
Finished this show last night. What incredible television. Finale absolutely brought it. No one is happy and everyone is miserable. The end.
No, but that felt built into the show’s premise. I just don’t know or how and it was gong to happen only wife and I were floored.
If you like this show you should give Industry a chance on HBO. It’s a business forward drama about a bunch of unlikable addicts who work on England’s equivalent of Wall Street. The pacing is faster, the laughs are fewer, but the cutthroat WTF moments are ever present.
first season and a half of industry are great — I need to get back to it at some point. I will say the business is much more pronounced and sometimes I have no idea what is going on lol. in a fun way
i almost never have a clue but they ratchet up the tension so it's like a scene from Heat so it always works on me
Tried the first few episodes of Industry a while back. It gave me a bit of a Euphoria vibe moreso than straight-up Succession. Def feels like more of a heightened reality than Succession. Does it improve after the beginning? I didn’t stick with it long enough to know, but I’m down to try again
Industry is a lot of fun. The first few episodes are very bizarre, especially on rewatches once you see how each character gets fleshed out. Which ironically enough is kind of like how the first few episodes of Succession feel different from the rest of the series with how different the characters end up being.
