forgot about this throwaway line from last ep when Tom is talking about all of the hangs he’s doing with Mattson “I’m scared he’s going to want to play video games and I’m going to be running into a wall for hours.”
Do we think Colin is gonna follow Ken around for the rest of his life? Did Logan pay him off in advance to do that? If not, you would think maybe someone would eventually see Colin is on the payroll to do… what exactly? And then fire him maybe lol. Like, what’s in it for Colin? And what did Ken say to him a few episodes before the finale? He had that shit eating grin on his face kind of the same way he did when he was talking to Hugo and Colin looked kind of unhappy in that scene but I can’t remember why Ken was talking to him.
Starting a rewatch and the end of Roman’s first scene is him saying, “look at all this bullshit”. lol incredible.
I always think about him mocking “ahh yes, business business” or whatever. And that really tells you all about him lol
Watching Ben Shapiro's review of Succession because I hate myself. "the only one that is in any way likeable is Roman" lol Jesus Christ
Now he is making some dumbass take about how he was rooting for Tom all along, and that Tom was the only competent one, and how the show inadvertently made the point at the end that capitalism is a meritocracy where the most competent people succeed in the end or some bullshit. He compared to Oliver Stone's Wall Street essentially saying the show is good but not in the way the writers intended.
holy shit, ironically enough I was just gonna post that in the second episode Ken says to Roman, “come on man, you are not a serious person” when Roman talks about him being CEO instead of Ken
I don't see enough people talking about how Colin, who was really Logan's last real anchor to humanity, acting as Kendall's guardian/protector in his lowest moment.
Wow, I don’t agree with that reading at all! Colin is the spectre of Ken’s biggest sin, following him for eternity.
Has there been anywhere that outlines the total time that takes place over the series? I’ve seen a couple different guesses / estimates. Is it one year? Season 1 ep 5 is Thanksgiving, and of course season 4 ep 8 is the election which would be November too so it’s at least 1 year.
that timeline seems to make the most sense. In episode 6 Shiv mentions getting married in March, so season one is at least Oct(?) to March.
Yeah I feel like each of the first three seasons was roughly 6 months or so (not really sure about Season 3 TBH), and there was a few months time jump between 3 and 4, right?
Sooo watching a replay right now, and the whole hug scene with the wound....am I crazy or was Roman basically asking him to do it? He kinda bends down saying "I know it's silly but................*makes a face* why isn't it me?" and then as he says that he kinda points at the wound and gives Ken a look like "please?", like asking him to do it. Is that like something people have talked about and I just missed it?
