Considering Ken's go-to move is to just say random shit when backed into a corner (Living+) I'm not surprised that they would call him on that story. They're all self-deluded bullshit artists.
Rome just wanted to be wanted and considered. I don't think he had any actual interest in it. Shiv bailed him out in the end by voting yes when he couldn't.
Maybe this was a “duh that’s what they were going for / wanted you to think” moment but I thought for sure Roman was gonna say no in the board meeting mirroring him saying know in season 1 when Ken tries to take over (if he did actually say no then, I remember him mumbling awkwardly and then Ken finally gets there and walks in and they focus on that). Also interesting that everyone (I think) that was in that board of directors meeting for Ken’s mutiny attempt are in the exact same spots as in the final board meeting. Knowing how obnoxious people I work with are when I “sit in their seat” in meetings in conference rooms I assume BoD people are like that too so maybe they have assigned seating there.
Trying to determine where this will land on my "all time" list of dramas. Top 5, for sure. Just a matter of how high it gets.
‘Succession’ fans are recreating an iconic Kendall Roy scene after HBO show’s finale What kind of loser would do this I would
It’s pretty firmly out of the top 3 with Sopranos, Deadwood, and The Wire holding those spots. I probably have Mad Men atop the next tier starting at 4. It gets hard after that, Treme is right there and something like Twin Peaks because of the return I probably prefer it over Succession. But it just ended, it needs time to marinate and maybe a rewatch at some point before I can pinpoint it.
Wow the reception for Treme really took a turn for the positive in retrospect. I remember people really not liking it. Maybe I will give it shot now.
Nah I saw a few different critics put it very high on their HBO series tier rankings citing that it is better in retrospect and that it suffered by being Simon's followup to The Wire because that is what people were expecting it to be like.
