Saw someone mention The Sopranos... how is it? I legit have no familiarity with that show but I do like Mob stuff. Does it hold up?
I watched it for the first time last year and it is truly one of the greatest shows ever made. Absolutely holds up.
Yes it holds up and you don’t have to like mob stuff to appreciate it but if you do like mob stuff there’s plenty in there for you
This was a really solid conclusion. We didn’t get much on the resolution of the election stuff but I’m good with the focus on the “succession” Logan probably would have enjoyed watching all the kids lose on the deal he started even without him around
Damn some of y’all got some catching up to do on the HBO staples. side note - Six Feet Under gets exponentially better as it goes on
As the oldest child in my family, I will now announce my arrival to every family gathering by shouting "I AM THE ELDEST BOY". no one can stop me from this.
On rewatch of the last 20min, I think there's actually the most hope for Roman of the three main kids. He's absolutely wrecked and bottomed out, but he needs to be out of this. He never wanted it anyway.
Y’all Kevin Devine got in on the season finale action with his IG story https://instagram.com/stories/kevin...e=ig_story_item_share&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Great commentary on the late capitalist ecosystem that Waystar is essentially going to get treated like they treated Vaulter.
Another recommendation for something in this realm would be Billions. First 4-5 seasons on Prime. Very fun, very goofy at times. Fun fact - both shows have opening scenes with someone peeing somewhere they shouldn’t be!
I don’t understand this read of Roman which I’ve seen a few times now. He absolutely wanted the top seat, he just failed miserably so he went into his nothing matters burn it all down bullshit. He’s a fucking spoiled baby.
Roman specific thoughts: I found it VERY interesting that he essentially “ran to mom” after the last episode. I imagine that’s what he did when he was younger? Was also very surprised and perplexed by his comment about how Logan told him that he should take over or he wanted Roman in charge. Shiv brilliantly fires back with asking if there are any more important conversations that no one else can prove happened lmao but that just seemed like such a non-Roman move which was maybe the point - one last final “throw shit at the wall and see what sticks” but even for Roman that seems like a ridiculous ask to think anyone would believe that. That would strike me as much more of a Ken move - when he basically kind of does the same when he adds more detail about allegedly Logan telling him when he was 7.
