Subscription Box Thread

What kind of boxes do you sub to? Post pics/reviews/etc.

I subscribed to Birchbox for almost 4 years but their quality within the past year has dramatically decreased for me. Thinking of trying Glossybox.

 

I finally cancelled Birchbox after 1.5 years because I needed to save money and at this point, I know what I want. Also, they finally have an official store close to where I work.

I did Stitchfix for awhile as well, but it got too expensive and I was annoyed that I wasn't getting some of the cool stuff in their instagram photos---that might have been because I was doing a lower price range of what I wanted to pay for.

 

I subscribe to Funko's Smuggler's Bounty box. Star Wars pop figures and other novelties including shirts, cups, and enamel pins.

 

Dread Captain Sean's Booty Crate and FiveFive Clothing, mostly

 

My dog enjoys BarkBox. But she also enjoys dryer sheets so it's a colossal waste of money.

Yep, it is nice to save the $10! I'm close to Birchbox Soho and it's a really nice store, but I can't see myself choosing to go there over going to Sephora

 

Marvel Collector Corp when it's a good theme and I'm gonna try out Smugglers Bounty this next month because of the bounty hunter theme.

 

I'm tempted to start a clothing one. I'm getting tired of wearing the same things all of the time.

 

it definitely helps when you don't have time to shop!

 

I just started Ipsy and should be getting my first bag soon!

I watched quite a few comparison, unboxing-type videos and it always seemed like Birchbox was outshined by Ipsy so I'm excited to check it out

 

I've done Naturebox, Nibblr, Graze, and Love With Food for snacks. They were carrying degrees of alright, but I felt like the amount of food you get isn't worth the cost or the lack of instant gratification.

Also have tried Lootcrate, Marvel Collector Corps, Horror Block, Nerd Block, and Arcade Block, all of which are pretty good, some bad months and some great months, but I decided I could do without. I do get tempted by the exclusives in the Funko boxes.

 

If anyone has been on the wait list for Sephora's Play box, they have openings available right now! I just subscribed after being on the wait list since they first launched it. Super excited to try it. I also have received Birchbox for at least 4 years. Every time I go to cancel I don't because of their damn point system. I have liked it more now that you get the option to pick a sample or the curated box every month. I just wish the box quality wouldn't fluctuate so much. Some months are complete duds and others are perfect for me.

 

My dog does the exact same thing. I don't get it.

 

I'd love to hear your thoughts when you get your Ipsy bag! Really considering it since its one of the only $10 boxes other than Birchbox

 

Marvel and DC so far. Though I'm not doing the upcoming DC box because I don't care much for the TV universe other than Flash.

Looking forward to Marvel's Civil War one. Should get it next week maybe.

 

I really want to try this for my pups. Think it would be a ton of fun.

 

I enjoy the themes and time they take with each box so that part is definitely fun. They include great toys/treats too.

A box of Bounce dryer sheets is only $2.55 at my local grocery store right now so if you looking to save money that's also an option.

 

Just got it yesterday and so far it wasn't half bad!

I got a Tarte lip cream (best thing in the bag in my opinion), a hair mask by Briogeo, a cooper/gold shimmery eyeshadow, a foundation brush, and a Juliette Has A Gun perfume (which was honestly awful).

I liked it all except that perfume honestly.

 

For a while I was getting Loot Crate for my boyfriend when they had a good theme, but we haven't gotten one in a while. Last Valentine's Day I also got him a six month subscription to Skoshbox, which lets you try different Japanese candy and snacks. That one was fun; we really like sampling all the different stuff.

I'm currently debating getting a subscription to Treats so I can try snacks/candy from different countries. Also thinking about trying Graze or something similar.

Money is not an option when it comes to my dogs.

 

I haven't even heard of these candy and snacks ones. That sounds awesome.

I got 2. One is getting older and I think this may be her last year so I'm mentally preparing myself to make some tough decisions soon. Found her as a stray on campus and have had her for about a decade now.
