Reminds me of the end of Brace For Impact a little, or more accurately the jam at the end of that song when he plays it live

I don't get the hate from country purists, sounds like a muddier version of Dwight Yoakam's "Fast As You"

 

really torn between showing MMSICM or ASGTE first to friends who don’t listen to country at all.

 

Sailor’s Guide is my favorite and I think is a little more compelling lyrically and thematically, but I know a lot of people consider Metamodern Sounds to be his magnum opus. For non-country listeners, I think ASGTE might be a slightly easier sell.

 

tbh i think my friends would prefer MMS bc of the psychedelic elements, but i definitely prefer ASG. i’m leaning towards the latter, but torn.
