That was one of the better things ive ever read on the internet. Ive got a 3ish hour drive to make today, might really dive into sturgill.

on I Wonder and this is incredible so far

kinda wish there would be some sound & fury songs and I miss his electric playing a bit but, yeah, super pretty stuff

 

"Mercury in Retrograde" would be such a killer bluegrass song

 

Listened to every album on my drive and man it was a good drive. Think i liked Sailors Guide the most but Sound and Fury is such a ride.

 

Just realized the tracklist is alphabetical on cuttin grass

 

Yeah! Can't think of any other time I've seen that outside of "A Moon Shaped Pool".

I genuinely love Cutting Grass, reminds me so much of my dad taking me to bluegrass festivals and just hearing this music live.

Only complaint is that "Crown" feels too slow. Otherwise this absolutely rules. Maybe a bit mellower and more polished overall than Vol. 1 but still a blast.

man this might be better than volume one. hobo cartoon rules and the versions of the first four, pollywog, keep it between the lines and you can have the crown are so good

 

Agreed

 

Keep it Between the Lines and You Can Have the Crown are my first listen highlights but the entire thing is a joy. This batch seems a bit more fleshed out than the first one.

 

Definitely making a playlist of bluegrass Sailor's Guide. Only song missing is In Bloom, which is understandable.
