I mean, it had to be completely intentional.

 

I don’t think the scenes related to Hopper’s death will feel cheap at all going forward if he is still alive. If and when he is reunited with El, that scene will be very emotional scene.

After 2 watches, I’m still in complete awe from this season. I was expecting it to be good and knew I was going to like whatever came out. But I just wasn’t expecting something this great. Wasn’t expecting something this dark & gory, something this action packed, something this emotional.
Almost still can’t believe this is the same show as season 1.

 

That was one part that I felt went over the line of their usual shout outs or references and was just TOO on the nose. There’s usually just a bit more winking when they do that kind of thing. It also probably hurt that they had so many other compelling villains already, so he didn’t have as much impact.

 

I'm at the sauna scene now. God damn do I love this show.

 

There was no Terminator vibe they literally put the Terminator in the show lol

 

I've never actually seen Terminator so I wasn't sure how accurate my assumption was lol

Heh I will have to, I've heard that movie is incredible.

I've only seen the shitty Christian Bale one because I tagged along with friends at the theater

 

Yeah none of the sequels come close to T2; T1 is good, but T2 takes things to another level

 

The only weird thing about the Term reference, is that it came out in the 90's.

 

Do I need to see the first to understand the 2nd?

 

T1 came out in 1984, which is the one I assume they're going for

T1 is very good anyway so it's worth watching.

The assassin dude was def dressed like a T1 terminator, but he did look like the T1000 from T2 at times.

Iirc they def incorporated a similar theme to the terminator theme when we first saw him stalking on screen

 

Yeah and they had Jurassic Park nods that were also 90s, as well as Aliens 3

I enjoyed when the injury mimicked the movie.

I genuinely didn't expect this season to be THIS great, but holy shit. That's top tier TV right there.
