The Ceiling is Beautiful was definitely a highlight, I started chuckling just listening to it and remembering how endlessly good Joe and Maya were for that whole sequence/episode
Wow, Nancy and Johnathan are really dumb, huh? I can't believe they just stood there and watched that monster form when they had their chance to run in the hospital
At the end, El & Mike were talking about meeting up again to spend Christmas or Thanksgiving together which seems to be hint for the release date of Season 4 to me.
Which is obviously next year... but also how crazy would it be if they had season 4 already completed just waiting to be dropped in 4 months
Wow, such a great season. Can't believe I stayed up so late watching. Going to regret that in the morning heh. I really want to say that end credit scene confirms that Hopper is still alive, but it would also make sense if it were Dr. Brenner. After all, the Russians had to learn about the portal in Hawkins somehow. I really hope it isn't the case, but it's definitely possible.
I feel like closing the series out with a Christmas season is the most 80s thing they could do so bring it on. (At least until they inevitably come back in like 10 years for an IT-style "the kids are grown up and return to Hawkins to fight evil one last time" season)
Yeah were the other cops only at the protest and never seen again? Lol. Yeah, El reading that note from Hopper was really sad. Hit me in the feels.
I think it’ll go back to a Halloween-time release. Honestly the spooky factor of this season was strong and I almost wish it came out around Halloween again hah
Man I did not expect this show to make me cry that much! Great season. I tried to keep to my rule of one episode per day but ended up watching the last four yesterday.
El not knowing what Illinois is and saying it like an alien despite going to Chicago by herself was such a weird thing to put in.
I thought Mike even asking "Illinois? Like the state?" was a pretty funny question too. Like, "no, Mike, the other Illinois"
Wow, I stayed up 'til 2am finishing this last night because I couldn't stop. No ragrets. Really enjoyed this season. Liked how every group was on their own adventure leading them to the same place. It felt very focused and flowed well. That said, it would've been nice to see Dustin with his friends more. This season was surprisingly gruesome at times. Loved the grotesque creature design too. I laughed every time Mike yelled at his mom at the top of his lungs. Lil shithead haha. Robin is a great addition. Erica mostly works but is a bit over the top for me.
