Don't read the spoilers if you haven't finished the season. they found her dead body in the Upside Down. RIP Barb...
So did the public learn about the monster/upside down/etc.? Or Was there any indication as to what the official story was for why Will was buried and then alive again all of a sudden? I saw the newspaper headline about the boy who came back to life but it didn't seem like they ever got into it. Also, if the whole thing is supposed to remain a secret, Nancy's just hanging out and letting Barb's family search for their daughter who supposedly ran away without giving them a heads up?
Finished watching Stranger Things. Easily my favorite miniseries since True Detective season 1. Great storytelling. I loved the soundtrack and 80's horror/sci-fi feel. So much fun!
Watched the seven episodes I had remaining all in a row. Such a great series. I may actually have to grab the soundtrack for this.
Just watched the first three episodes in a row. I'm really really into it and trying to convince my mom to watch with me. Reminds me so much of the best parts of X-Files suspense, even though I honestly have never been a huge fan of "80s movies". Can't wait to see how this turns out.
On the clipboard with the newspaper about the boy who came back to life there are other articles posted that say the coroner is being tried/arrested/ for falsifying an autopsy. There is another one that says the head bad guy is blocking an inquiry about what happened. Another says many state troopers are in trouble for a scandal. I assume the public knows some things but probably not about crazy monsters. I assume Barb's family knows she is dead, but really, who cares about Barb?
Excellent show. Things were left open ended though. So is it a set up for season 2 continuing this story? Or a new season with a new story?
I'm on episode five and will probably finish it tonight. also. we've already got two versions of a vhs cover:
I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said but this was a total joy to watch and it was wildly refreshing to see a show focus on character drama without relying on a load of cheap deaths and unlikeable characters. Everyone played their roles wonderfully and I don't think I have a single complaint.
