It’s a callback to season one. And I’m taking it as a hint that Hopper isn’t dead considering it was previously used when pulling the fake Will out of the lake.
I love when fans all latch on to the same thing in a show simultaneously and that this season it was Alexei. He was just too pure. Also did any Americans fans notice that there were a bunch of small cast crossovers? I think my favorite was seeing Dmitri from season five as the blast door guard.
I think people are too hard on the standalone ep from S2. It reminded me of a grimy 80s nyc horror flick
Only on Ep3, but just coming in to share my freak out when finding out Maya Hawke(robin) is the daughter of Uma/Ethan! Sure y’all already knew
My only real complaint is the lack of time the kids are together through the first three episodes but the max El relationship was awesome to watch.
I understand that there are always reasons to separate people to have multiple stories, but I am begging them to have the whole party together for more than an episode next season. Send them into the sewers or something, just don’t have one splintered off the whole time again! I really want four to be the end now. I don’t see how it can keep escalating much beyond where we are, and they’re already so grown up.
It is frustrating when they all meet at the mall and then immediately separate into three or four groups again. As much as I enjoy the Dustin/Steve pairing, I missed Dustin being with the other kids. Felt like a waste just sending him off with Erica for two episodes
Splitting him off to be with Steve was okay because they have the best chemistry on the show, but then when THAT got split and it was suddenly the Erica show I really wanted him with the main group again. She works so much better in small doses with the way they write her.
Yeah the ep 8 intro was a great pay off to waiting all season for the whole reunion, and then one scene later sike we’re splitting back up into the same groups
Yea, I really want them together more. But man, is it great when things come together in the last episode and then head off to final missions.
So looking on to season 4, I think a time jump to senior year would work well. I've been thinking a possible search for Hopper in the Upside Down could be really cool. Having a good chunk of the season in the Upside Down could be cool since we hardly saw it at all this season, and have never really spent an extensive amount of time there. Could also allow for a abundance of new monsters we've never encountered. EDIT: Sadly, a time jump means we have to wait 2 or 3 years for the cast to age.
Mike is really such a boring character, he only exists in relation to El. Meanwhile Will has a whole host of potential storylines but gets basically nothing to do all season except use his spidey senses
Honestly not really. Caleb and Sadie are both 17 now, and most of the kids are at least 16 and REALLY growing up. If anything this season had to work super hard to age them down. If they just let them change their looks to be more mature and natural, they could pretty easily do a season with them playing seniors or young college students in the same break time.
