The most unrealistic thing about the show is that at no point between 2 and 3 did they use El to casually spy on their friends and family
Steve and Robin are entirely too comfortable around those public toilets in episode 7, really took me out of it
So we decided to stop after 3. Holy shit this is pretty intense. And dark. Definitely a bit more “on edge” than I was in the first two seasons.
Loved this season. No way Hopper is dead. Even discounting the “not the American” bit. Between Joyce closing her eyes and us seeing everyone else in the room die... he’ll be back. As soon as they showed he wasn’t gonna be able to escape I assumed he was going into the upside down. Guess we’ll see.
Okay but that post-credits scene was genuinely disturbing and the implications are so bizarre Does this mean the Russian Government is weaponizing the Demodogs or whatever? It lowkey kinda looked like D'art from Season 2 Also, I'm really happy they gave us a satisfying ending this time, even if it is painfully sad. But taking away El's powers seems to make Season 4 a much higher stakes game. Also, I genuinely came close to tears when Alexei died. Homeboy was far too pure for this world. Robin is a fucking legend and I will stan her until I die.
Ep. 7: Robin coming out to Steve is framed as a sweet moment between the two and cute Steve has a friend and all but honestly all I could think about was that it’s set in 80s small town Indiana so coming out to an airhead like Steve would have been a much much much riskier ordeal than they portray it
ep. 8: the actress they got for Suzie really does look like a nerdy little version of Phoebe Cates lol
Kinda wish this was the series finale, especially with Hopper's letter to El Though they really should have used the original "Heroes" instead of that lame melodramatic cover
Haven't started yet but does anything from that shit episode of S2 come back or can I officially skip that one on my rewatch?
