I’m really looking forward to the Cronenberg influence. I hope it has some bigger scares than before.
Season 2 was great, especially after the first two episodes. Thought the build up to the end was excellent.
Lol my dad and I quote “pretty sneaky, _____” a ton. We also quote most things we love too much, and venture off into our own inside joke-a-thon, which typically results in people leaving and then we just continue down the rabbit hole.
Thank you. They’ve shown a bunch of other things before this pool scene ever came out. I think the real first anything was that short shot of the rats before the trailer dropped...
I do love the breaks in between seasons. Makes it feel like an event, and they make me savor that shit more. S2 wasn’t THAT bad.
Also I saw that the New Coke is dropping tonight only online as part of some “package”, so I assume it will be incredibly hard to get to try. Definitely expect a bunch of flippers to come out and take full advantage.
I love both seasons. S1 was nearly perfect the whole way through where I thought S2 had lower lows but even higher highs. They both kind of even out for me.
Late seeing this, but I use "Clever girl" all the time but I don't think anyone ever picks up on it. I guess it's the price of being vastly cooler than all my peers.
Yeah season 2 was pretty equal for me. I feel like some people act like that one episode with number 8 ruined the season Agree with this Steve is better in season 2 as well
I thought Season 2 was maybe like a quarter step behind season 1 but that’s mostly because we miss out on a lot of fun with eleven and her interactions with the other kids. But overall it was still a great season and I didn’t even mind the episode that everyone seems to hate. Yeah it wasn’t as good because of how disconnected from the main plot of the season it was but it was still pretty cool.
my only real issue with S2 was that Jonathan Nancy and Mike didn't really do anything the entire season
I wanna rewatch this but I think I'll wait until it's closer to the third season I only watched the second season through once but wasn't as big into it as the first. Who knows how I'll feel now that time has passed idk
I liked Jonathan and Nancy going out on their own to investigate, especially since it seems like that plot will deepen this season and the Russians will come into play.
The shot in the trailer with them dressed super professionally at the Hawkins Post makes me expect it to be a big story, and I’m into it. I’m not as against their relationship as some people are, but I would also be totally cool for it to just grow into a work partnership instead of a romance.
I’m cool with the relationship, they just seemed very insignificant in S2 (especially Jonathan besides his scenes with Will). But now that I think about it, they’ve basically been an investigative team since Jonathan dropped the pictures in S1. I agree, I really like the idea of that being a big part of their story arc.
Mike was by far the most underutilized in S2 in my opinion, so I agree that I hope he gets a bigger focus this time.
I agree too, although his relationship with Will in the last season kind of redeemed what little screen time he got for me. The shot of Mike covering his ears looking completely traumatized while Will is screaming in the hospital was one of the most affecting moments of the season for me.
If the "spin-off" storyline doesn't come back into play this season I will literally skip that episode every time I watch this show from now on
