I thought the exact same thing. It was like she had never actually been drunk (which, who knows, maybe she hasn't). I generally think her acting is fine (not great) but that scene was just really fucking bad.
By the phrasing, it sounds like they yelled at some people for job related reasons which isn't a great way to lead but could believably happen at any job.
‘Stranger Things’ Creators “Upset” By Verbal Abuse Allegations, Netflix “Found No Wrongdoing” – Update
I was better with it on my second watch, but watching for the first time it felt like way too much of a sideline. Ruined a lot of the momentum IMO.
May not have been the most terrible thing i've ever watched, but it didn't fit well with the rest of the season. It was also the opening scene of this season, leading everyone to believe it would be a much bigger deal down the line. Felt like a hype up that fell very flat for me. There's also some pretty cheesy dialogue that I usually don't feel is so obvious in this show.
Well, yeah, but I was speaking about 80s NYC/Jersey films like Basket Case, Frankenhooker, Street Trash, Troma films etc.
‘Stranger Things’ Creators Matt and Ross Duffer Sued by Producer Who Says They Ripped off His Short Film — Report – IndieWire
it's not my favorite episode but for me I mostly just don't like the placement. you have the demidogs coming up from the hole and then there's a break for lost sister before we get back to that. it kind of hurt the momentum for me. but easy enough to just swap the episode placement on repeated viewings
