Finally got around to finishing this and even though it was the weakest season, the finale was actually pretty great. Really enjoyed the epilogue. It might have had its stumbles down the stretch but it was a fun show and I will miss it.
Not walking simulator (which usually don't have character models), but Telltale Games comes to mind for me right off the bat, which is kind of jarring.
I want to be interested in this but I don't know what the point is. The problem with an interquel is by nature you already know where the characters begin and end, so any character development or expansive lore is pretty much impossible.
there's also a $200 standard set, which i think i like more (and might eventually go with, since owning this show isn't a huge priority for me at the moment). i believe DiabolikDVD also has each set for even cheaper.
I’m not in a hurry either. I recently rewatched some of the series and I’m a bit burnt out. I’ll get a box set later in the summer.
my birthday's in July, so i might reconsider then. don't really see a need to get the limited version. i wish they'd do seasons individually too, since my S1 & S2 Blu-ray/DVD sets are starting to show signs of disc rot, but if i'm gonna upgrade those to 4K, i might as well just do the whole thing.
I dig the animation and vibrant colors of this so far. Not done yet, but wonder why they decided new monsters when they never bring it up ever in the show.
Someone on Reddit posited what if this would have been the Telltale game that got squashed when the company went under? And it just makes way too much sense if that were true.
