To be fair, the showrunners & writers explicitly said multiple times that "there are no coincidences" and to "pay attention" when asked about fan theories, it's not like this level of fan scrutiny was uninvited.

Sure. They didn’t say ignore logic, reason, narrative structure, and common sense though.

 

Yeah, I don't actually believe the Conformity Gate stuff, but it is kind of a fun fan theory thing.

I lowkey like this theory I saw that the inconsistencies in the final season were intentional but we're not getting another episode we just got the bad ending where Vecna won but the Duffers still wanted to keep it ambiguous

 

How did getting beheaded indicate Vecna won?

i'm summarizing. in the tiktok it made more sense.

 

I saw a Tik Tok that one of the Duffer’s ex wife was involved in the writing for the earlier seasons, and they got divorced so she wasn’t involved this time and the final season really suffered from aimlessness and inconsistency as a result.

the writer is Leigh Janiak, who did a lot of the Fear Street movies so I think that makes more sense than they were actually really smart and tricking us.

 

So they were really copying Star Wars/George Lucas for this season then

 

Yeah, I liked the part where Vecna was redeemed and was also Eleven’s dad.

I read something that said she was involved all the way up till the end of Vol 1, which I thought was still on-par with previous seasons. I didn't like some of the performances, but still good. It fell apart in Vol 2. I fully believe she had another plan for handling Will's coming out, and possibly a much different ending. I made up my own version of the ending in my head and I think any future viewings may stop at Season 3. That first season was lightning in a bottle and will be a recurring watch for me.

 

Only two more hours until these weirdos' delusions are dead, right?

Netflix always cancels their shows before they get an actual finale. They couldn’t let Stranger Things get one either so they canceled its release!
