I'm getting flashbacks to tumblr convincing themselves there was another secret episode of BBC Sherlock because Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman didn't hook up in the finale

My friend went deep down the conformity gate and Byler side of TikTok and I think she’s lost it.

She has only seen s1 and the finale. She keeps saying things happened, but they didn’t. I can’t tell if she’s really losing it or just fucking around with me.

 

Yeah obviously there is no secret 9th episode, but there's a reason that's more comforting for some people to believe than the reality that the Duffers just absolutely fumbled the landing after 4 and a half decent-to-great seasons.

People just want an explanation, any explanation for why those last few episodes felt so disjointed and oddly paced compared to Vol. 1, and why the finale was so underwhelming.

 

The finale was good. *shrugs*

 

I think I already said it, but volume 1 was good, volume 2 was bad, finale was a great time

 

Finale was a good time and I really appreciated that they gave us those last 45 minutes or so especially.

 

I like all of s5. hot fucking take.

 

Oh man, all of those conspiracy videos for an episode 9 have now flooded my Instagram feed and it's insane. I knew people were theorizing it but the mental gymnastics people are going through is just embarrassing lol

 

My friend kept sending me videos and like rants over screenshots and I ignored them all haha

 

Some of the people in these videos sound like season 1 Joyce Byers losing her mind

It just makes way more sense to release a secret final episode on a day when everyone is back to work than to have the finale drop on the one day where they’re very likely going to be near a TV with friends and loved ones.

It’s simple math!

 

I miss Sherlock, what a great little series

 

first two seasons were great, I don't like to think about what came after lol

 

I think each season had great episodes and bad episodes, but when it was good it was sooooo good

 

Now I want the secret episode to be real because how insane would that be? Can you imagine a show deliberately lying about their episode count? Would be fucked up.

 

I mean I'm not gonna lie and say I wouldn't watch it lol

 

Thinking back to the finale and how the kids were playing D&D in the epilogue. If I’d been through all that shit they had I’d never want to play again

 

Still love how pissed Max got at the end of that game lol got a good laugh out of me
