Yea, it mirrored Hawkins as it was the day El bridged the earth to the Abyss. The day Will was taken.

 

It's just the day the Upside Down was created. It's not really "stuck" on that date; it's just not constantly updating to the present Hawkins

not to yuck yums but just found it impossible to care about any of this shit

 

despite this show being as huge as it is, it's really weird to hear people talk about it in public. heard 3 separate conversations about the finale tonight at two different bars

 

I've never seen one topic show up so much on my Instagram feed, that's for sure

 

It’s just 80s movies logic… people didn’t ask these questions back then

 

People won't ask any questions about our government or economy or anything really important but they'll make time to nitpick bits of an 80s-flavored sci-fi horror series like their life absolutely depends on the answers.

 

I ask questions because it's some times funny to laugh at but I generally don't really care if I was entertained throughout, which I totally was

 

The writers don't seem to see Eleven as a human being.

That sacrifice was definitely a choice, but I would not call it a beautiful one.

 

Eleven kinda turned into Goku in DBZ as the series progressed. Just a plot device that didn't really do much until it was time to fight the big bad

 

It's literally the most watched show in the world. Netflix's top and the most pirated.

 

I don't agree with this take. I don't see specifically how this disregards her as a human being.

And I'm not saying I necessarily agree with what they did, but I'm hard-pressed to think of something that would definitively resolve the story and still have them all be together.

How would you end the story? And I'm legitimately asking the question; I'm curious.

 

Been rewatching season 2 and that Nancy-Jonathan exchange: "I waited." "Yeah, like a month". Man, multitudes about the human condition in those sentences.

 

I'm not sure myself but I would love if it involved Dr. K's head exploding

 

Btw I don't think we talk enough about how rad it was when Eleven made that soldier pull his own gun on himself haha

 

I’m going to miss the marketing for new seasons the most. The lead up to Season 3 with new coke was insane. The show was so big that it convinced Coca Cola to revive a discontinued beverage lol

 

They need to do it again and bring back Surge for a third time

 

There's so much money to be milked from this franchise and I'm here for it. Very curious for whatever live action spin-off is next. Also listened to S1 OST on the way to and from work today. Well, tracks 1-12 out of like 80.

 

Really wish we had an Eleven is just like Vecna plotline, that she's really evil. Would make her decision to leave really mean a lot more.
