Doing a rewatch of the whole show with my mom and when we get there, we're plowing through the whole thing. No half-assed measures. Whole ass or nothing.
Some tiktokers are convinced some plot holes were intentional and there's gonna be another episode haha
I think it's fine for fans to have fun theories, but some of the twists they're coming up with are giving the Duffers too much credit
The problem I have is that so often the discussion becomes X is bad because it didn’t go the way I theorized
Death by suicide would not be a life in peace. It would be no life at all. It's sad there was no resolution for El beyond sacrificing herself for the sake of everyone else, whether that was death or living in isolation from her friends for the rest of her life. It's just so dark.
I thought Will was going to find out 11 opened the door for the Demorgan, but I guess it just doesn't matter. Would love some traitor stuff but guess it all got cut, too complex of emotions for this show.
I'd like to think she'd eventually make friends somewhere else and just learn not to use her powers so she doesn't get found out. It still sucks but it's more hopeful than her becoming Yoda.
and that's part of the issue too that I have with the finale We have to THINK of what could have happened with Eleven because the writers chose that over having us KNOW what happened Eleven got treated like a plot device for the others rather than a character herself
I now think 11 is alive because I saw a clip of El's finger twitching the same way the illusion of Kali's finger was twitching in front of Dr. K
People online are just too entitled for things that don’t go the way they wanted. TikTok, twitter, whatever. If something doesn’t go their way or the way their delusions went then they will argue that it has to be that way or else it’s bad
I don't think there's a single person who really thinks she died, if the internet right now is any metric to go by. And since the evidence seems to heavily suggest that's what happened, and they technically showed it, even if it was framed as Mike's theory, I'm not sure how much it matters that wasn't definitively exclamation point stated outright.
The evidence is definitely mounting. All the detailed evidence for and against Eleven dying in the Stranger Things finale Another thing pointed out here that I don't remember being mentioned is there was no nosebleed after Eleven was in Mike's mind.
The only thing that has me on the fence about El being alive is how could Kali use her powers to keep the mirage there when she would have died before the mirage disappeared.
I was happy to see them not give an explicitly definitive ending for El. It was quite silly that literally all of the military was just standing there watching her at the portal and none of them went after her, though.
She might not have been shot. Could be an illusion she decides on after hearing Hopper's speech to El
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3a4OQR-10M Haha had no idea that Joe starred in a Tame Impala music video
I mean when the bomb went off. It showed her in the lab when the bomb detonated so the lab and anything in it would have been destroyed first. El’s mirage stayed for a bit after the destruction of the lab and Kali (if she was alive at that point).
Solid point. Unless she left the lab to get closer to the gate since her powers are not far-reaching. EDIT Oh wait I see what you mean, they physically showed her in there? Forgot that.
My favorite complaint today online has been "what about the letters Max wrote?" You mean the letters she wrote in case she died? Lol
Yeah that’s why I’m not sure if what they showed us would be possible. Maybe it did happen, but it’s just something the writers and showrunners overlooked. I’m sure we’ll find out in 5-10 years when Stranger Things: The hunt for Eleven (revival season) is out.
