yeah this is my understanding based on what happened to all the people under its control in S3. All the demos (gorgons, dogs, bats, etc) fused to make the giant flayer's body with Vecna fueling the heart with the kids
That would make sense. The party even commented that they expected vibes and such. Perhaps it was all sacrificed for the body.
Had a thought and went back to check. Starting when Hop rushes back to El/Kali, there is no blood on El’s hands despite there being some initially. As well, it clicked with me earlier that Kali was inspired by Hop being tricked by Vecna before. She knew he could be fooled and believe whatever he saw. She pulled a similar trick as Vecna, but did so to help ensure El’s survival. Hop had to believe she does for the govt to stop looking for her. El telling Hop to trust her to make the right choice feels all the better knowing that she had a plan to survive but needed him to not know how.
I had a feeling this was the thing, but I wasn't sure because isn't it still technically linked to the Upside Down?
One of my favorites from them - as if the band wanted to channel all the emotions of being a kid into sound, and they really did it with that album.
While I acknowledge it was a very clever and logical twist, I feel it is a cop-out on part of the writers to place the ambiguity of Eleven's fate on the viewers and making it an 80's-esque "choose your adventure" type of conclusion Otherwise, I was happy with the resolution of every other character's story arc. I do feel a bit sad that this will likely haunt Mike and Hopper for the rest of their lives
Fun finale in the “eating a bunch of candy and getting sick” sort of way, tied up most of the loose ends. Decent amount of plot holes but what can ya do. Genuinely very funny that Vicki was part of that big group and they straight up never acknowledged her again lol
What Finn said about his guess for the spinoff: As for what Wolfhard speculated, he tells me: “Like David Lynch’s ‘Twin Peaks.’ Sort of an anthology and different tones but similar universe or same universe. I think set in different places and all tied together through this mythology of the Upside Down. Don’t even talk about Hawkins. Don’t have any mention of our characters. They were toying around with ideas in case Netflix wanted them. I’m sure they do, and I’m sure it will happen, but there’s nothing official. I think the coolest way, the way that I would do it, there has to be labs everywhere. If there was one in Hawkins, there’s one in Russia. Where else could they be?” So yeah I’d definitely say it’s other labs in other places studying things like that rock from Dimension X for purposes other than what we were presented with in this show.
damn. If it wraps up lingering questions I'm guessing then the army and Owens since he was suspiciously left out of the finale
